There's no perfect system because everyone's needs are different.
I'd not consider an ipad for using as a storage / editing machine because there's not enough storage to make it in any way practical for me.
There's never any point in moving edited pictures back to the card in the camera - that to me is counter intuitive. The files move along the workflow camera-card-pc-backup then print if required.
The ipad is a great gadget for showing photos, taking bookings etc. but I want screen real estate for editing, and loads of space for file storage, neither of which are high points on the ipads design agenda.
So what would be your 'perfect' workflow?
