I know it's not rated very highly but I saw it in Tesco today for a tenner, if anyone is at a loss for something to watch for the weekend.

Not very highly rated? The pacific and BoB are both fantastic and are rated quite well as far as I knew??
 
I have seen some mixed reviews, but for tenner? can't go wrong.
 
They're comparing it to band of brothers, if it'd been released first the reviews would be excellent, it's well worth £10
 
So far it is, I watched the first two episodes tonight and it's ok. Doesn't have the depth of character that BoB had but it's still a good watch.

From what I have read, it is a slow burner, the characters do develop as time goes on. Will def buy for ten squids.
 
Watched the whole lot through and I think entertainment wise it's the best £10 I've ever spent.
 
Not a patch on BoB, I gave up after 5 hours as it wasn't going anywhere.
 
Good to watch so long as you are not comparing it to BoB which was immense.
