One of the statistical guys on SKY Sports has put together the worst score for each hole at Troon today.

I’d be quite chuffed with that card :)

Had far too many 9s on par 3s myself! TBH, I usually pick up when I pass 2 over (nett). Did manage 39 (Stableford) points last week (over 2 days! It's a 9 hole course we usually play on but there are different tees for "the back 9" on several of them.)

My first ever round of golf was in 1975 at Royal St Georges and I shot a chaotic 136. My dad was a 12 H/cap and lost a ball off the first tee.

The first shot at the course I play at most is slightly challenging - about 150 yards to safety and about 50 yards wide, with OOB each side. A fair few people there use range balls for their tee shots since it's the driving range to the (right handers') fade side. Since I play with foundlings, I don't usually follow that practise, although there are plenty of my tee shots headed that way!

I have a love/hate relationship with my golf clubs, but it’s a great time to spend with friends ;)

The group I play with all play (with this group - a couple take it a bit more seriously with other groups!) for the company and exercise.

I rather like (the late, great) Ray Reardon's comment when asked what he plays off - "The ladies tee!" A couple of the group do just that on the holes that are over water!

There’s a lot of water on one of the local courses that we play.
You won’t need many guesses to work out why I’m nicknamed ‘Nemo’!

As prizes for the occasional "comps" we play among ourselves, I got a couple of boxes (minimum order) of balls printed with "Lost by a winning XXXXXXXXXXX". Most of them have been!!!

Mick, who plays with us bought a remote control electric bag trolley.
Whilst we were searching for a lost ball his trolley must have picked up phone signal or something and proceeded to drive itself across the fairway into the lake!
We did laugh.
Mick didn’t :ROFLMAO:

If you have Sky, look for Rob and Romesh vs Golf... Not a lake but the trolley did follow Rob into a bunker.
