The Official Fuji X10/X20/X30/XF1/XQ1 Thread

For wrist straps - back when I had the Canon I made my own. I ordered paracord fron eBay for about 2 quid, then spent an hour or so practising and watching YouTube guides for making paracord bracelets.

About a month later I found out about gordys...

I do like the look of the Gordy over the Cordy wrist straps. Did you go for black or a shade of brown out of interest?

Black and red, Ian. Looks great on the black X10!

Hi Chris

Where'd you get your Gordy strap from if you don't mind me asking. Did you order direct? Their reseller in the UK doesn't seem to stock many colour options.

Cheers

Ian

I got it from tripman.co.uk , I don't know if they still do them...

Yeah, they appear to be the only authorised reseller but don't have the colour I'm after. May send them a message to enquire.

You can of course buy them direct from Gordy in the US; with postage, it comes to around £22 I think, compared to £18 plus postage from Tripman...

Any X10, X20 or X30 owners gone for an X100T? What are your thoughts?

Not your average holiday snap :) Would like to see the original (colour) version without the border.

I don't much care for the artificial grain (if you want a film look, shoot film ;) ) but I do prefer the black and white version.

How does Lightroom 5 cope with the RAW files - can that plus camera profiles rival the JPG output?

I do not know about earlier versions of lightroom but the more recent versions like 9.5.1 do an excellent job with X20 and X30 raw files.
None of the versions do a specially good Job with the X10 files which never seem to be able to match the jpegs.
But all versions give a lots of scope recovering lost highlight and shadow detail.

The colour one? I wanted to get a grainy old film look to it, hence the processing.

Hope you don't mind, but it's a nice scene and I had a play.

Missus just bought me a Gilet style waistcoat, nice and lightweight. Loads of big zipped pockets, pretty streamlined. Just tried it out by popping the X10 in one of the big zipped pockets, perfect.
A big thank you to my missus..

Do you use a lens hood? I've found that whilst I like to have it, it has a serious effect on how 'pocketable' the camera is.

No, my X10 is just standard set up. I never seemed to have a big enough pocket for it, unless I wore my big coat. Warm weather, the new waistcoat is ideal :)

I was seriously tempted too but managed to hold off long enough for Mr Womble to remove the temptation. The state of my overdraft after buying an RX10 III helped considerably.....

Hope you got a good price for it! :)
I lost a bit i was saving for a x100t the plan was to sell the x30 and x100s for the x100t it will happen(soon once the mrs is away on her girlie holiday:banana:) still got an x-pro1 with a 27mm and the x100s with a tcl-x100 conversion lens.

I don't feel quite as sorry for you now, Mike! ;)

Does anyone successfully pair an X30 with an android phone for transferring files to? I can't get my X30 to connect to my Galaxy S6 Edge, yet to try my X-T10.

X30 wifi type connecty thing doesn't appear to work. Mine doesn't with an iPhone. Seems to be a common complaint.

Well that's disappointing. Not a deal breaker as I can connect the camera with a USB cable but would be easier if I didn't have to given it's a selling point of the camera.
