The Official Fuji X10/X20/X30/XF1/XQ1 Thread

Should have got one when I first mentioned it minnnt......oh but of course you were selling yours:D

My X10 was one of the earlier models which suffered from the fabled orbs, which went back to Fuji to be changed

One month after this was changed the X20 came out. What sensor was this replaced with, does anyone know ?

Fuji have never made any statements. Could it be an X20 sensor ?

I don't think the first X10 sensor was replaced with the X20 sensor; IIRC the X20 sensor is not EXR in the same way. I suspect they just made some tiny hardware mod that stopped the dreaded orbs developing.

Said in jest of course as I don't have one and will curse the day when I drop it

Thank you. I picked a rx100 this morning - thinner than I'd imagined.

Anyone gone to one from the xf1 ?

Just handled one. Not tried as I didn't have a card with me

So, I went to my kids' St George's Day parade this afternoon and took a few photos

I think they came out Ok

There's a few more on Flickr if you fancy a look.

Wow, you have been busy. I like the composition in no 4.

Have any xf1 users come across the lens error issue?

Thanks

I think we may just be new xf1 users and have not come across this issue. Fingers crossed that it does not come up on our camera.

Nah, mines been fine. Both of em...

Probably something made 10 times worse by the internet.

Having said that, a friend of mine has told me his has randomly started over exposing shots which could be the same issue according to your above link.

Thought I'd say hello. After a few years without a camera I bought myself a DSLR around Christmas and I've been getting back into the swing of things. Except... one of the other things I do is cycling. Much as I prefer the sort of bike rides that involve watching the scenery go by and stopping for photos at appropriate points, the DSLR is just too big to carry on a bike ride and I've realised how crap my phone camera is by comparison. Next week we're going on the sort of holiday which involves taking bikes with us and cycling to the places we want to visit, and I wanted to be able to take half decent photos without weighing myself down. And at £129 I couldn't go far wrong with the XF-1, surely?

I've only had a quick play so far but here are a couple of attempts - straight out of camera (uploaded directly from the card)

Welcome along Helen - I've had mine 5 minutes and have taken nearly 400 shots already. Great little camera I think

Just got myself an XF1 as a 'second' camera, so to speak, for when I can't be bothered hauling my 6D around! Had a bit of a play this evening and the features it has are nice!

yep, you'll enjoy it. I definitely faff around with mine in the different modes, just because they're there and I don't always want something that a dslr can shoot out of the camera so to speak..

damianmkv,
That has to be one of my favourite "X" shots. (y)
Without the "E Type" it would be an also ran, but with it, well you is just one lucky so and so.
I'm glad you didn't spoil it with selective colour.
Though, may I be so bold as to suggest :) a little dodge on the chrome, lights and lighter shades of the "E type" would lift it.

I was a mechanic in a works garage in the 1960s and worked on lots of Jaguars but none better than the early "E".

YP1,
Helen, welcome to the club, "oh no" I mean welcome to the "little x thread", and what an entry it is, super shots.

minnnt,
David I think your bike rack shot has a lovely tonal range and is as sharp as a sharpened sharp thing.

Rhodese.
