Some lovely pics though Seriously considering one of these , Had a play in jessops today and was impressed
Not a deal breaker but does it come with a strap? I've only seen them with the leather case or nothing at all
Kev, did you have water on the lens in that last one, or an errant clone tool? Some lovely pics though
I currently have my mitts on an X100, borrowed and been playing with it to get the hang of the settings and menus before using it in anger tomorrow night. If the X10 is as capable pound for pound as the x100, it will be a worthwhile investment.
Oh and while they are doing THIS with the X100, wonder if they could manage a part metalled version of the X10![]()
No.
Oh, okay - the manual's not very good.![]()
I'll second that, the manual is poor for such a well endowed camera.

Not liking this thread, it's threatening my wallet!!!
Duncan, you may well be right if you want to produce an exhibition quality print, but isnt that what you lug your DSLR around for? isnt the Fuji for convenience, if not why keep the DSLR?
(It's a dilema I am looking st, if i get an X10 do i really need my DSLR's?)

No image editing whatsoever, it has been cropped and resized in photoshop
Fuji X10 - Landscape Mode / Pre-set
And here's what I should have done....
I did some quick DR tests over New Year, and I think the amount of highlight detail recoverable from RAW is similar at ISO 100 and ISO 400.
If I'm right then this image would have been significantly higher quality taken in RAW at ISO 100. The wider aperture would have avoided diffraction and the image would have been noise free.
I wouldn't have an out-the-camera JPEG, but
I'm seriously contemplating going back to just taking in RAW except for Panorama and Pro Low Light.
Thoughts please!
I think the camera processes some outstanding images in jpg but i think if you know what youre doing with LR and PS then shoot in raw. Im finding it annoying some of the presets the camera forces on you when you put it in certain modes and for the sake of 20 mins work in photoshop youre better off just sticking with Raw.
We've been lured back into the darkside of using camera presets in the belief that it really is as good, but its not really beacuse of all the little corners that are being cut (very close mind)
Will be very interesing to see what the xPro 1 is like for in camera processingPlus theres a firmware coming out for the x10 again soon so hopefully some tweaks to remove a few of those corner cuts.
...View down the valley towards the coast as the sun was setting this evening.
...Bonus coming in March pretty sure where a chunk of it is going!!!!
DittoThat's gorgeous Darren! Well done mate!![]()
I did a photoshoot this afternoon with a local young lady and used the X10 for a few... I even tried the 'Pro-Focus' mode out.
its getting ever more difficult to resist this camera, and think carefully about the future of my DSLR's!!!!!!!
...And....... :bonk:
Haha, here you go Duncan! It's not my favourite shot of the afternoon but as a proof of concept, it worked well enough!![]()
look, will you lot stop putting these pictures up?
