The Official Fuji X Pro 1 Thread

Nice view although perhaps the image could do with a little more saturation and contrast?
Just saying :-)

@macvisual Another stunning image, I've no clue about your workflow, but the next time I find someone trolling on about X-Trans and watercolour effects and smeared foilage, I'm just going link them to your flickr!

Thanks Mark, I totally understand your views and kind comment. It's a typical early year scene with not much abundance of light, kind of drab - dull - boring light, my editing skills aren't great yet, I tend to go gentle on my editing at times, maybe a bit more dynamic punch is the way forward.

Regards;
Pete

In dull/flat light, I sometimes find a mono conversion can help. I'm on my laptop so only have Windows Photos so this isn't great but you get the idea:

I still prefer the colour version - just personal preference, not criticism!

Malcolm (Malfis), how are you getting on with your new X-Pro1 body ?

Why don't Fuji have a 'Classic Chrome' film simulation firmware update for the X-Pro1 body ?

I'd like that !

Why don't Fuji have a 'Chrome' film pre-set firmware update for the X-Pro1 body ?

I'd like that !
Hi Peter,
The weather's been rubbish since it arrived, and I'm waiting for a diopter correction eyepiece to arrive, so haven't tried it seriously yet.
The few trial shots looked good.
I agree with you about Classic Chrome - I thought the XP1 had it!

I hope Fuji update the xpro1to classic chrome I love it on my X100T

Hasn't there been a statement saying there are not going to be any further firmware updates to the XP1?

FWIW, Popular internet wisdom suggests that the XP1/X100/100S/XE1 won't be getting any more meaningful FW updates.
They're not current tech, and let's not compain, Fuji have been rather good to us when they were the new models

If you shoot raw the film sim is largely irrelevant... There's plenty of tips and tricks out there to trick adobe into letting you use the CC profile in LR (you change the exif to a different camera basically) or for C1 users, someone's developed a LCC that mimicks it (iirc thread on fuji-x-forum.com) and the other Fuji sims for raw shooetrs, so it's annoying for sure, but not the end of the world imo

Ymmv!

It would be interesting to see the original colour image.
I'm very jealous of the scenery to which you have access in your part of the world!

That's funny, my XPro1 with the latest 3.60 firmware has the classic chrome setting.

But the latest firmware version, as shown on the Fuji UK website, is 3.50 not 3.60 !

I did this in LR and it's spot on to Classic chrome by fuji
