The Official Fuji X Pro 1 Thread

Here's one I've been playing around with in LR trying to get that 'just so' black and white processing feel with... What do you think?

I'm in the X-Pro1 club now, £942 on Amazon with the 18mm, £50 Amazon credit and obviously a free lens to choose as well. Will more than likely put the £50 towards the 35mm 1.4 and get the 60mm as my free lens.

I used an X-E1 over the summer for my honeymoon, replaced it with a D600 but have missed the Fuji ever since, glad to be back! I will add an X-E2 and 55-200 in March ready for the Motorsport season.

Does anyone use flash with their XPro? Looked at the EF20 as £90 new, but read that it doesn't work with the pro? While I have been impressed with ISO so far, think there will be times i need a bit of light so would be keen to see if anyone has used a flash with this camera, and which one.

The ef20 works fine with my X-pro1, I think there was a problem in the beginning but it was sorted in a firmware update

Also a new hand grip for both the Xpro and XE series cameras which allows you to get to the battery and memory cards without removing the grip from the camera :) Genius!!! :)

Had one of those on my XE for months! Ok, not official fuji but superb quality none the less

That 10-24 has caught my interest too :)

Thats what i did,had the 18-55mm to cover the 18mm,i found the 14mm nice and about as wide as i need :)

Yeah a few people have said the 18 range in the 18 - 55 is a lot better too in terms of quality.

Need to try out the 14.

Possibly (deliberating) selling the DSLR as it's just not getting used so this would prob fund a good chunk of it.

The 14mm is exceptional, I've never really shot wide before but my honeymoon across South West USA this year seemed to demand a nice wide view, such an enjoyable lens to use...http://www.flickr.com/photos/harry_s/sets/72157635201727497/

On another topic entirely, are there any nice thin discreet shoulder straps that work well with the X Pro1? I had a Crumpler Singapore Sling for my D600, the concept was spot on for me but it was far too thick and bulky. I'm ideally after something similar in thickness to the standard Fuji neck strap.

Yayyyyy, my free 35mm turned up today! Looking forward to getting some use out of it this weekend!

Did it take long, and did you submit your receipt before the 14 day 'wait' period? Itching to put a request in for the 60mm.

I did wait the 14 days just to be safe. Posted on fri or sat (29/30 nov) so just under 3 weeks.

These are great. Pricey but great.

Happens everytime... between this and the x100 it drives you mad!

Nah - they fixed this a while ago. I added v2 the other day and all presets remained. Odd that a dot release removes them and a major doesn't.

But the firmware updates are always very useful. Top marks to Fuji for updating the X-E1 when what they really want to do is sell me an XE-2.

Definitely! Was thinking about this... I knew the firmware was imminent for the xpro but was wondering about updates for my X-E1 with the recent release of the X-E2. Well done fuji.

Like the update to the X100, they could have ignored updating the firmware on this model with the X100s available. it's almost made it into a new camera now.

So, early in the day I know, but any thoughts on the upgrade? I have to say the MSS is a great addition... Also feels to me like focussing is a tad quicker but that's possibly just my imagination.
