..."The official 2007 TP Slimorama"

Well Im sitting here eating my Special K ! I have put on a jumper a bit too small to SHAME me into starting this diet again!

It's the end of the first week for me. I got weighed this morning, first thing.............. and I've lost 3lbs :woot: I'm feeling quite pleased with myself :D My goal was/is to lose 5lbs in total and be under 10st by the end of the month, so I'm well on track!

The thing that puzzles me though is that when I went to bed last night, I got on the scales and weighed myself and I weighed more than when I started. How come this morning I weigh 4lbs less than I did last night? Where did that 4lb go overnight?

Sounds like an excuse to spend more time in bed!

Yes, but I'm not one of them....thank goodness!

I still want to know how you can go to bed, SLEEP all night :p and wake up weighing 4lbs less

Maybe you were sleep jogging.

Or .... And here goes my attempt for a slap in the face! ....

Did you remove your make-up before you went to bed.

That explains it all.... my average sleep is about 4 hours a night in about hour long stints :( I'd give anything for a good 8 hours sleep.

Hypnotic - I'm going to slap you whenever I get to meet you :nono:

Lost another 3lb this week (8.8lb total) 27 to go. Feeling better already.

nice one namllihs i will be weighing in on tues myself that will be 2 weeks
hope i am anywhere near how your going keep up the good work..

OK, here goes ... I've actually been eating healthily since mid September 2006 at which point my start weight was 26st 8lbs or 169kilos in new money :(

I now weight 22st 4lbs or 141.8kilos which equates to just over 16% of my original body weight. My BMI has gone from 52.8 to 44.3 :)

I've so far lost 4lbs this year. My target weight is ~13st with no particular date in mind.

 well done so far mate
a loss is a loss keep up the good work
i find that if you go out and take that picture you keep thinking would be good its helping you get out and about .its easy if you try " so they say"

Thanks :)

I'm actually very happy with 2-3lbs a week. I know from previous experiences of dieting that I can easily lose ~7lbs a week but as I'm now diabetic a very low carb & fat diet is not a sensible option.

My glucose levels have dropped from 7.2mmol after overnight fasting to a nice "normal" 4.1mmol and I now have so much more energy due to a combination of the diabetes being controlled and less weight to carry around.

I basically use the weightwatchers points system whilst making sure my lunch and evening meals are split 50% vegetables and 25% each for carbs and protein. I also make sure when possible that it's "good" carbs with each meal. I still have the occasional pizza and curry and was never that bothered about alcohol. At the moment having chatted with my doctor, the only excercise I take is a brisk walk several times a week. I'm hoping to be back on a push bike by the Spring :woot:

Well - you lot have shamed me into joining the shrinkage forum! Weighing in today at 15s5lb . . . . Target as much as possible . . Under 10st when married and last boxed as a lightweight! Stopping competitive running (1.58 half and 4.04 miler) qualifying and joining the RAF with Officer's Mess and Bar proved disastrous! Over the last 45 years of marriage havent lost weight - just misplaced it!

Thought about this - maybe getting a little flabby round the middle. I'm 6'3" and 16 stone - anyone know what i should be getting down to?

First week 13st 13lb -> 13st 11lb

Not much but in the right direction at least !!!!!

I dont want to lose weight, but I want to tone up, can I still join in? post photos maybe? :P

First week 13st 13lb -> 13st 11lb

Not much but in the right direction at least !!!!!

Every little bit counts - and research goes to show that a steady 1-2lb weight loss per week has a better chance of staying off than losing loads of weight really quickly.

also trying to lose a st so am cutting right down on carbs, i will post my before and after pics when i learn how to use the liquify tool in photoshop

10st 2lb this morning so I haven't lost anything this week :( Still, I haven't gained any weight either, so it's not all bad. Feeling quite disappointed, but will try harder. I blame it on the busy week I've had at work. I've had some long days where I haven't really eaten anything until about 6-7pm so my metabolism is all over the place.

Lost 2st last year. Only put a couple of pounds on over Xmas (more from not exercising than from over-indulging).
Back onto the 5-milers round Uxbridge, so it should drop off again fairly rapidemente...

Weighed in this morning. 22st 1lb. That's 3lbs this week and 7lbs since the start of the year :)

Ok, finally got some scales & wish I hadnt bothered ... 9st 13lbs :shake:
Ive still got a few Chrimbo chocs left, will polish em off tomorrow, then make a proper start to join in with this starting Monday.
Im going to try & go cold turkey on the sweet stuff but dont know if there really is such a place as ... a world without chocolate!:help:

Do weightwatchers still do those chewy strawberry sweets? I was hooked..i'm sure my teeth didn't thank me but my tummy did..mmmmm

:woot: :woot:
had a weighin this morning have been trying to eat healthy and not drink so much.

todays weight 15 stones . 7 pounds .

its going the right way , good luck to everyone else hope your all being good to yourselfs.... all the best

Another 2lbs lost, so 10.8lbs in total, getting there.

Having a bad week this week :( Well done to those of you who have done well and lost weight though

Lost another 2lbs, so 12.8lb total, still moving in the right direction.
The only thing I am really missing is having a couple of beers when I watch the football:beer::bang:

Well done Namllihs  I've had a lousy week this week (I'm all hormonal :'( ). Time to start afresh next week methinks.

I was 13st 1lb this morning, so no real change.

I must be doing wrong :(

Well done Namllihs

I lost a pound ... one lousy pound ... think it went down the back of the sofa

Never mind Min ... I was in that nasty place last week ... but it was chocolate heaven!

DF hun ... think maybe youre not doing enough wrong, or surely you would have lost something ;)

Oo, like I just mentioned in another thread, Tuesday I start cardiac rehab. Twice a week in the gym, all controlled by cardiac nurses and physiotherapists. After that we get pep talks by dietitians or cardiologists and the like. Should be interesting to see if this helps with some weight loss.

Starting point is 119 kg (18st 9lb)

DF hun ... think maybe youre not doing enough wrong, or surely you would have lost something ;)

Not enough right though either.

By the calculations on most of the websites who claim to be able to offer an ideal weight, i'm right at the far end of the tolerance.

3 sites say I should be around 177lbs +/- 6lb from a bmi max of 25. I work it out to be 25!!!!! 184lb

I'm off out to get a bigmac to console myself :D

Can I recommend pneumonia as a weight loss option! REally your respiration is up you have no appetite. Unfortunately as I'm feeling better (I've been up for almost an hour now without having to lay down) I'm sure it will all go right back where it came from.
