The Not-Quite-So-New Photography Cartoon Thread

A quickie five minute sketch after an idea suddenly sprang to mind.

And this is completely out of my head, not seen it anywhere else.

C'moooooon, you gotta give me SOME slack! :bonk: :D

:lol::lol::lol:

Briliant work Ian, fantastic cartoons, really made me laugh :clap::clap:

The run of corny cartoons continues . . .

Thats a real groaner :shake:
but I did  all the same

The troubles may have eased back, but there's still the scars.

And the good news is (well, at least from my perspective!) is that I have spent the past couple of days trawling through my book collection, t'internet and raking my brains for more cartoon ideas. :D
As a result, I have drawn up quite a long list so I can see this thread going for that little bit longer. :)
Bear in mind that some of the stuff I come up with are adapted from other material (not direct copy) and some come out from my own head (50/50). :naughty:

Very topical Ian

:suspect: :D

Mind you, I have noticed that here in TP some of us really do have too much money! :naughty:

A prolonged (and unwanted) absence from these hallowed grounds has meant I've missed this slice of genius!

Ian superb work - a really classic feel to your cartoons and funny too :)

Keep 'em coming!

Hi John! Funny that you sprang to mind as I noticed you haven't been around these parts in a while. I hope all is good at your end and that you and your family are keeping well.
And ta for the kind comment about my stuff (and to Cobra for the support). :)
I've got enough ideas to produce a few more cartoons for this thread so keep watching this space! :naughty:

:suspect: :D

I may not agree much with the caption, but the resemblance is striking :p ... you've just missed out my camel (that's how I carry my gear around).

Hi Ian. I've not had chance to drop in here for a couple of weeks, but it's great to catch up. I'm the Dead Pixel cartoon really appealed to my black sense of humour! And I liked the topical Jessop's one too.

Keep 'em coming, they brighten the day. ;) :)

Jean

Hi Jean! Long time no hear and thanks for the kind comment. It does looks like The Great Meteorological Thread had ran it's course, haha. :D Probably because this is turning out to be a rather forgettable summer after that promising start. Still, as long as you all are okay then all is good.

Anyway, regarding keeping those cartoons coming in, your wish is my command . . .

Urbexing with a difference?

I will admit to having got the idea from a poster at a local market stall, but wanted to do my version if it in my own diminutive cartoon style. Especially since I do have an underlying passion for trains. :D

Cheers guys!

This one is exceptional.

I have sold my 16-35/2.8L because of the same reason - many brides I have seen are too big and causing distortion when shooting at wide end.
The lenses renders a massive useless.

So... I have got a 400mm instead, I am happy to be to shoot at a mile away. :D

Haven't looked in for a while Ian........(slaps own wrist.)
You brighten up a dull summer mate.......

:D

Cheers Rick! Although I should give myself a slap on the wrists for neglecting this thread. I'm still as prolific as ever with my cartoon drawing, but need to do a few more photography-related one special for this thread.

I still do have a number of ideas for it so watch this space. :naughty:

Absolutely brilliant, just spent the last 30 minutes laughing my head off from page 1 to this one, my favourite is job centre touting jessops absolutely spot on,
Keep up the stunning work!

<---- Blows the dust off this thread.

Although I am still very prolific with my cartoon drawings, this thread has seriously been neglected! :shake:

So, here's a quickie cartoon I've done earlier on today, the idea came about after hearing on the news about possible further hikes in petrol prices.

Good to see this thread alive and kicking again Ian

Cheers, Cobra!

And hopefully I will drop another one off in here sooner rather than later but most of my doodling time seem to be taken up by doing commissions for other people! (earning a little bit of pocket money on the side).

Any christmas themed ones due Ian? :)

There's a thought, especially since I've seriously neglected this thread. Hope to come up with something or other soon. Watch this space. :D

Finally, a fresh new cartoon for this thread!

(Not very festive, I know. That's to follow at a later time).

Doent matter how many times I see some of the older cartoons they still make me chuckle.

Great to see your still carrying this thread on.

Cheers Les! I'll try my best.

Here's my official Christmas-themed cartoon with this web site in mind. :D :naughty:
