Does anyone use a 3rd party EN-EL3e battery? Being cheap I picked up two 3rd party batteries for my D90 recently, as my experience with Uniross batteries in my D50 was brilliant (they lasted easily as long as the original Nikon), but neither of them actually work.

I have found a Uniross EN-EL3e online for £15, but I'm unsure if I should go for it or not.

Just wondered if anyone had found a good reliable source of 3rd party batteries, or if I need to open my wallet and spend around £50 for a 'proper' one?

Make sure the EN-El3e you buy is marked as "D300" or "D700" compatible and it'll work in the D90.

Nikon changed something from a D300 onwards so many 3rd party EN-El3e's won't work.

I have a 3rd party Nikon EN-EL3e that works fine in my D90 (Phottix Titan)

Martins cameras where selling Nikon ones for £34

I'm using a couple of el cheapos - think they were called "inov8" or something... no problems, work just fine.

i bought a cheap on for m d300 but after 12months it kept reading it as empty, even though i had CHARGED IT UP FULL. My original was reading fine when full and empty. so i ended up getting another original for 29.99 online. But dont ask where cos i cant remember now. just search in google.
