Well iv been pottering around with my nikon d40 for a while now and have got some good images on it, i intitalliyt bought it as my 1st dslr simply as it was easy to navigate and quite comfortable and mainly was cheap i didnt want to spend too much then not use it...

However i find its limiting me now due to me using the kit lens 18-55, so do i buy a newer camera or upgrade the lenses?

Im staring to find it abit small for what i use (physically) so what would you guys do, buy a lens or two and a battery grip to bulk it up or move onwardas and upwards, my budget will be around £300 plus what ever i get for the d40 in v good cond say £150ish

cheers

Battery grips a good idea, looking at one myself. What do you need from a new lens that your kit lens won't do.

well im wanting to start to take motorsport pictures which i dont have the zoom for so obv a longer lens would be ideal, also starting to get more into macro photogtraphy so a macro lens of some form.

I like BSB,WSB,MotoGP so my first lens upgrade was the nikon 70-300mm VR and have just added the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG Macro from the TP classified section.
