This is just to let everyone know that the new Safari Li-on is now in stock.
Basically, the Safari Li-on is our new high spec but reasonably-priced battery powered system thats ideal for location photography but which is also very much at home in the studio, because with its powerful LED modelling lamps and asymmetrical power distribution it can work alongside or even replace mains powered studio lighting.
The Safari Li-on has 600 Ws of power, enough to overpower the sun when needed, it has a total of 6.3 stops of power adjustment and the Lithium Ion battery produces about 5 times as many flashes to a charge than its nearest competitor (as well as having brighter modelling lamps, 50% more power, rock steady colour temperature and flash energy and taking S-fit accessories without the need for any adapters) and at the moment at least a free carry case. And all for much less money.
Ive been testing this equipment for months, and Im totally satisfied that its the right kit for the job. As always, its reassuring to read actual reviews from users, Michael Sewell used it a few weeks ago on one of his location shoots and you can read his thoughts on it on his blog entry here. I wrote a bit about it myself, here and this blog entry gives all the test results, which speak for themselves.
Of course, with any brand new product theres a limit to how many people can share their experiences with user reviews at first, so if youd like to get your own hands on experience just get in touch with me and call in at my studio by arrangement but get your plastic ready because once youve seen it youll buy it
These kits are complete, with no extras to pay for it even has a camera bracket, allowing it to be used as a super powerful hammerhead flashgun!
And the prices?
Single head kit £799.99
Twin head kit £999.99
Ringflash kit £850
As always, prices include VAT and UK delivery is free.
