So today we saw the launch of the iPhone SE, an Air-sized iPad Pro, new Watch bands, new iOS and some price reductions.

Auto WB on the iPad pro looked rather nifty but until you can edit raws it won't be a laptop replacement for many people here...

Hardly worth them bothering to hold an "Event" for those. A press release would have done.

I was waiting to see what the new iPad release would be as I was think of upgrading my old iPad 2. I can't understand why there is no 64gb version, the 32gb version is now really the 16gb version of old, it's just too small to be useful. 64gb was what I was thinking that would bd the minimum for me. The addition cost of the upgrade to 128gb gets it in the region of used prices of the MacBook Pro retina which would be much more useful for photography. I'm guessing now it's not officially an air replacement we won't see much of a price drop in those either.

I was hoping for an update to the Macbook and Macbook Pro, not sure when they will happen now.

new iPhone I thought is great value ( I'm happy with the size of a 4' screen ) I watched the whole thing and thought that they are pushing the whole recycle angle ( which of course is good ) as always slight upgrade , the iPad pro is no laptop replacement - Shame it does not come close to the surface pro... that really is! the iPad of course Is beautiful to use , it just does annoy me the use of the term 'pro' when pro's can't really use it as a laptop replacement! no MacBook Pro update, which is due ( and I want one! ? guess it will be at their refresh in June... just really hope for 16gb std and usb c!!

I agree, I think its very good value. I am thinking of replacing my iPhone 5 with an iPhone SE. Space grey 64gb which is the storage size I wanted to move upto, my IP5 is 32gb. So an SE with those specs is £439 where as the equivalent IP6S is £619. Quite a saving considering the innards of the SE are the same as the 6S from what I have read.

Hah, the mini pro pad or whatever it is, has USB 2 transfer speeds. Cutting edge 20 years ago. (I still have no idea what tablets are for to be fair).

Tablets are great for using as personal film viewers on flights. Just plug in a USB stick or a MicroSD card and away you go. Handy for peering at the web while away too - lighter and more compact than even a netbook.

Am pleased about the new iPad Pro. I had planned last year to buy the iPad Air 3 that was rumoured to release, and was really mad when they came out with the gigantic iPad Pro instead!

My only problem is I don't know which colour to choose - silver, space grey, gold or rose gold. :p

I use them to play games and surf the net in bed (or anywhere, really - the portability is a huge plus). :P Phones are too small and laptops are, well, you can't comfortably use a laptop while lying down.

I'd be tempted by an iPad if they put a proper OS on one like the Surface Pro has.

Almost, but not quite...
- No 3D Touch
- The display is lower spec (lower contrast ratio, no 'Dual-domain pixels for wide viewing angles').
- 1st generation fingerprint sensor.
- 1.2 megapixel FaceTime camera (6S has 5 megapixel)
- No barometer sensor
- Allegedly (so far unconfirmed) 1GB RAM (6S apparently has 2GB)

None of that would put me off, but it's worth being aware of.

Pay less get less sounds like apple :-)

Underwhelming announcements as usual when it comes to the big "March Reveal".

SE is an unfortunate term as I've always been a Sport, Sline , M, S or RS fan personally and doesn't really do much for the lineup imo.

Shame the MB Airs didn't get an enhanced screen and replacement thunderbolt screen wasn't announced (which is well overdue).

Roll on September....

Not on an iPad you don't.

Not out of the box but spend even more and you can... ;) (I like my Surface and Tab. Both have the relevant slots included.)

Doesn't SE mean skinny edition

Stuff (is) Extra?

Yep you are indeed correct upon further reading. Also agree non of that would put me off either.
