The Mrs makes me laugh!>

This thread was started as a lighthearted post about the way that females may view their other halves hobbies & the comments that they say to wind the OH up. I get it all the time

Personally think that this was a funny series of posts which in no way was serious

Take a chill pill one & all

Come on guys*, I can see page three on the horizon... one last effort.

* I use the term 'guys' in it's purely asexual context.

If we want to get to page 3 then someone needs to make a sexist comment!!!

Anyway off to see if the OH has washed my socks yet - can't get the staff these days

Them getting washed will probably depend on you managing to do what most men are unable to - put out a pair of socks and not just one lonely one

Yes, it was a really deep and thought provoking thread, full of potential for stimulating discussion. I shall miss it.

Seven more to go!...

so to clarify, can we make sarcastic comments bout the OH without offending half the forum??

weve spoke about getting her a SLR but i think the complexity of it scares her a little :'(

Sorry to jump the thread back but my 4 year old boy can use a DSLR anyone can, see this thread, I gave him the camera in aperture mode set a 5.6 with the nifty 50 on and let him loose.

I did the same with one of my 6 year old daughters recently with an F301 (manual focus)

Most of the shots were rubbish but one or two were nicely composed and in focus and it seemed to spark a real interest, which was nice.

...

On another matter entirely:

I would say, a lot of the entry level DSLR are a doddle to use these days, especially if using one of the auto modes. And when the ickle lady's furry front bottom starts to hurt so much that she can't change the lens I'm sure there'll be a strapping chap nearby to leap to her assistance.

I have done the same with both my daughters 9 and 5, the 5 year old did struggle a little with the camera see here and they both enjoyed it and took better portraits than me:D

Blimey Sprog not the nicest way to talk about your daughter.

The last sentence was not in anyway related to the daughter/manual film SLR vignette.

Though having read the whole post back to myself several times, I can see how certain people could make that leap.

Can't wait for page three.

Sorry if I took it the wrong way. Another one towards page 3:lol:
