Here's a thread for you all to put down what you could buy if money wasn't an issue......

I will start....

A Canon EOS 1D Mark X

A Cintique 24HD

Your turn guys and gals....
 
An 1100D with a 40 lens on it. Does just what I need it to, the rest is up to me unfortunately!
 
I always find things like this a little silly, but I'll play along.

First off -
Canon 5D3
24L
35L
50L
85L
135L
200L

Then a Leica m9 and monochrom with the same lens, although they'd only go to a 135ish.

Plus shed loads of cards and a few fast FireWire or thunderbolt card readers

Personally i don't like the 1D and 1DS as i find them quite heavy - so i'd probably go with a 7D and a 5D3

I might also be tempted to get a leaf aptus back for my mamiya 645

a new top spec computer for photo editing complete with CS6

and of course i'd buy a share in slack media in order to become the fourth admin :lol:
 
Minty (or excellent) Nikon F2AS and a very good Leica M3. I'm quite content with my 30D and don't have any desire for any more digital gear.

Seems I didn't see which sub-forum this was listed in!

I'd buy the best camera and custom underwater housing available, with matching custom strobes and len housings for underwater photography.

If I can include the dive gear in the budget too, I'd be photographing wrecks of the Lusitania and other large wrecks in 100m of water (If I could get a permit!)

At the moment, transport. Money no object, a helichopter.

As i'm still learning, buying tonnes of photo gear might be a waste for now, so just having easy access to good subjects and backgrounds would be ace. And a few models might be nice :D
 
Canon and Nikon zoom lenses if you had unlimited money seems a bit of a waste. You could have some of the most exotic and expensively well corrected glass and cameras in the world. It'd be like that fat couple who won the Euromillions and flew on EasyJet.

A couple of D4 & D3s and load of lens
Give Canon a try as well some 1Dx & 5D MkIII & and a load of lens.

Hell lets have some Leicas & give the new Olympus Omd a go :D

A linhof techno with some German glass on the front and perhaps the new sinar digital back, on the back.

For now an EF 400 2.8 plus (when it's available) the 200-400 f4 x1.4.

I will of course need an Aston Martin Virage to cart those around plus a chap to carry them for me. They'll also spend quite a lot of time on my 70m Superyacht of course.
 
Dream setup is already well on its way.
Currently saving up for
16-35mm
and something longer either a 500mm or 600mm

I would then probably start buying primes 35mm, 85mm, 135mm and so on.
 
400 2.8 and the forthcoming 200-400:)

tbh i'm pretty happy with what i have already but if its money no object then i'd like to add a D3s & a 14-24 plus a couple of the lovely f/1.4 primes.

4 or 5 girl friends....... Who said money can't buy you love?

Build/design a house.

Go Camel racing.

Maybe a Leica..... maybe
 
Camera wise I would upgrade to full frame. Get about 4 lens to cover focal lengths from 16mm to 200mm, probably 16-35mm f4,50mm prime f1.4, 24-105mm f4 and a 70-200 f2.8 and a couple of tele-convertors (1.4 and 2.0) job done.

Rest of the money I would spend of flying lessons and get my own aeroplane/helicopter to go places to photo.
