RoyalMail, I had a book that was being delivered today by RM 24hr special delivery. This morning I get an email asking if I want the item redirected if I'm not going to be in, great I thought, I can do what I need to get done today and given the torrential rain it seemed a no-brainer to get it delivered to the post office around the corner so I took that option, I even got a confirmation email saying so. I got home and there on the doorstep and now completely soaked is the book, ruined. I rang their customer services ( after a 40 minute wait on hold, that's another moan) only to be told, basically 'tough luck'. Why bother asking in the first bloody place.
