Anyone been watching The Missing? The last episode is on Tuesday and still not worked it out yet (... Mind you, I did miss 2 episodes, which isn't helping ...) ...

I have been. Haven't missed any and still don't know........ :(

Jimmy Nesbitt is outstanding in this and if anyone's missed it I would urge you to track it down and watch........

I tried to get it on demand but it won't show the first couple of episodes

I love it.

I'm going for multiples, Ian Garrett, the mayor and the mayors brother. I don't think the guy who was provided with a false alibi is involved, I think he likes to watch videos but doesn't "take part"

It will be an interesting finale. I suspect it may not even be as obvious as I think.

Some of it was good but some of the middle episodes were dull and I nearly gave up watching it.

Prefer Nesbit in Babylon :)

It was Graham, assisted by Derek and his wife Edie...

I think it is the fella at the hotel. The coin is an Alcoholics Anonymous sobriety coin and he has a pot full of them. May be way off the mark but that's my theory. It's been good but too drawn out.

I am enjoying it, because it makes good watching, something to get into, and there are little twists and turns.
The coin seems a little obvious to me, because most people know about that. Is the British detective involved in any way? The mayor certainly seems to be far too evasive, but is that because he just wished to see it all go away, so that he can get elected each year?

Watched the first two or three episodes but got too bored with it, even though I am quite a fan of James Nesbitt.

I nearly gave up on it a couple of episodes in, but I'm glad I've stuck with it. Haven't a clue who did it as there are too many pointers, but I think the mayor could be a good shout and I don't trust the UK detective either.

Unless I missed it (and I may have), there was never a real explanation of how he came to be on holiday with his son (coincidentally, almost the exact same age as the victim) in such an out of the way place at the same time..... an then just happened to become their liaison officer.

It was all going so well - wrapping up nicely........

There will be a season 2 but, from the trailer, it looks like that may be a whole new storyline.....

So......

not sure what to say really!

... me neither ... so I guess we are to assume that the boy is still alive and we've all got to go through this again at some point in the future!! (only this time with Russian / sub-titles ...)

:(:(:(:(

I thought it was pretty obvious the boy is dead. George helped Alain cover up his drink drive accident thinking the boy was dead then when he saw the body in the back of the van after the Romanian killed him he reacted by doing a runner and eventually committed suicide because of it. The mum accepted he was dead but the dad couldn't because a body was never recovered (despite the French policeman telling him they very rarely are) and went on a mission to find him, resulting in him becoming obsessed in his search. That's how I saw it anyway.

DUH!
Well that is how we all saw it after watching the last episode - unless of course you wrote it and knew what happened?

If there's no body then there will always be an element of doubt. I think they left the ending that way to be able to start another series with a twist.

I hope there is another series it was one of the better programs on tv.

Judging by the teaser trailer, the next series will be a whole new case.

He will probably be found alive and well "in the jungle" next season.
