Happy Birthday Mark :) Very jealous that you get to celebrate it earlier than I do! got a couple of more hours till it is official for me :p also not fair that it is the longest day there and the shortest here! :D

Hope you have a good one and keep working on that tall and commanding look :p

Happy birthday, you old Tasmanian Devil, you!

Thanks there Jimmy - happy birthday to you too! Yeah, mum always said that the day I was born was a very long day! As for the tall and commanding look, I should grow old gracefully!

Mark, the resemblance is striking! ;)

I've got friends who've landed up in Deviot. I'm preparing them a slideshow of the snow we've currently got in the UK.

That's it go one rub in in showing all that greenery whilst most of the UK is under snow! :D

Happy birthday Mate!
(and you look good for 74, thats for sure)

Happy Birthday Mark :)

What makes it fairer is that for us in the Northern Hemisphere, the days will start getting longer and we can start looking forward to Spring while our Southern cousins' days are shortening and Autumn is on its chilly way!

happy birthday mark
Thanks wegotitugetit! :)

Thanks a lot photon, just what I need to hear - that remark is sooo confidence building at this emotionally fragile time in my life! :'( LOL
I know the little hamlet of Deviot on the West Tamar quite well as yrs ago I had to do a photoshoot there of a B&B for advertising.

Those willows grow in the leafy glen behind my house. During Autumn and winter there are toadstools and fungi shots to be had ... it's nice to have on my backdoorstep.
And thanks for that lovely compliment that makes up for photon's cruel (but honest) observation! LOL Anyway, I'm lucky to be fairly fit and medication free up 'til now. :D

True - what goes around comes around as they say!

Thanks Rick! ... but dammit man, that fruit punch - I saw a whole bunch of them guys after the party mate!

Well in case you wondered where all your missing willows went some well intentioned ancestor of yours thought they'd look nice in Oz so he brought some cutting half way round the world and planted them here - well they do but their roots also choke up all the creeks and waterways! :D:naughty:
