My 70-200 f4L is here. I bought myself a christmas present and it was meant to stay in the box until the 25th but, it came at 7.30 and i was still half asleep getting dressed and i was soooooo HAPPY :banana: when the postman came that it whent straight onto the camera :banana:

Unfortunatly no pics yet... Im only a young man :p not too big on the getting up at the crack of dawn still :lol:. I put it on the camera and stared at it smiling while is was getting dressed.

And Yes its my first L and i honestly was lost for words earlier. cant wait to go home and take random pictures just for the fun of it until the weather clears up :D :D

now the question is do i need anything else. Because i leave to travel around the carribean and south america for two years in march and i dont want to have to try and get stuff from those areas...

Well you've now joined the slippery slope of L glass. You'll soon get 'L'itis and be wanting more. Not many people I've seen on here or spoken to at nature reserves etc. have settled for 1 L lens :eek:

thanks... to be honest i think im going to get a 50mm 1.8 and im getting a 430 EX for christmas, so ill be good with that for a long long while. :banana:

Well, judging from your sig, what I would do would be to get rid of the Tamron and the kit, and invest in a 24-70 2.8. You could go the third-party route if you can't afford your second L now, but it would fill the gap nicely between your 10-20 and your 70-200. i heard the Sigma one is quite brilliant, well worth its money!

how come the long trip by the way?

Cool thanks for the advice. Well i kitesurf and i intended to turn pro summer of 07 but i broke my leg then spent my whole 21st recovering and now im getting better i want to go back to the warmth and wind to train up again and try again...:D

Good for you mate! I hope you make it! There are a lot of kitesurfers in Cyprus, remember thinking of going for some photos one time and then couldn't find the time!

Sorry Marcel, I beg to differ, it's the next L that does it for me, then the next and the one after that. It's almost better than s*x - did I say almost?
 
im still trying to find what the best lens for watersports photography would be so i can aim for that...But....im so happy with this lens

oh no still staring. Ive got it with me at work today :D, hopefully going to get out at lunch for some samples :banana:

Having problems with my battery grip, but i think i like my camera more without it. Ill just wait till i can afford a genuine canon one
 
thats what im slowly learning here. I dont "really" need anything else for my requirements right now but it doesnt stop me from wanting every lens to be L..... its hard :D

Ill update my wanted now :D
