Right basically I'm trying to find some info on a light painting light source, but not finding much, or it doesn't describe what is used, or it's about making shapes in an image not actually lighting a subject etc.

So, thought I'd start this thread, people can share equipment, techniques, editing, final images etc, similar to the rig thread (which after the mix up may be in the wrong section!).

At the moment I'm thinking some LEDs in a diffused box with a handle and a battery of some sort, but haven't got any parts lists together or anything as yet.

So, how did you do it? And please post up images etc! Let's get this going!

It would maybe help if you could say but are you referring to automotive light painting or light painting in general, as frankly they're very different skills and equipment in reality
 
Automotive light painting, I thought that was obvious when it was posted in the Transport section, but it seems it has been moved.
