So about 30-40 mins ago I looked out of the window wondering where the snow was that was being reported all over the UK on GMTV. But there wasn't even a flake in sight, and the snow from the other day had all but disappeared after some rain. Well! I looked out of the window again just now and we have 2-3 inches  and it is coming down thick and fast!

What's it like where you are this morning?

It's pretty dam cool! & quite bad!

reminds me of Lapland I went to in December!

the cars are doing 5-10mph and roads arnt gritted where I'am so no way I'm going into work, not risking driving 20+miles to do nothing today at work!

instead! I'll take some piccies! :)

About 6 inches here in Bath.

and I'm within walking distance of work.

b****r.

 That is exactly what Chris (the hubby) said! He works less than a quarter of a mile away on the same road.

It rained in staines last, well what you expect.. it's a crap hole!

Had a little snow off and on yesterday but nothing today, so far.

Nottinghamshire - LOTS of snow
In work now but contemplating not staying if it carries on.

"It's snowing"

Looked out the window, groaned went back to bed. Can't be doing with this cold whether at the moment, i want warm wheather

Its raining over here :(

Around 4 inches overnight on top of the "almost gone" icey slush from the other day Its just started snowing gently again

Got around a foot of lovely snow!!!!! Can't get out of my road, Boss told me to stay at home! I didn't argue :woot: :D :D :D

Been out shootin' :D

(may post a couple later.....)

Occasional flurries here this morning but about 4" fell overnight.

Despite the nationwide grit shortage, the council found enough to grit the Close I live in, although there's a bus route about 2 minutes' walk away. The 1/2 wits who did the gritting drove DOWN the hill with the grit turned off then seemed surprised that they had problems getting back UP the hill. they had to shovel grit under the wheels 4 times to get up and out of the close.

It would be fair to say it was wintry;)

Now THAT's wintry!

Folkestone itself had recieved very little snow in the past week. The hills to the back of the town got a couple of inches on Monday but most of it was gone the next day.
It then lead to pretty much an uneventful week of alternating sunny spells and rather murky conditions.

Just about all the snow and slush that fell last Sunday/Monday has gone and the paved areas dried up overnight and we had a light frost. There are a few tiny "dry" balls of snow visible on timbered areas that fell earlier this morning but nothing else. The Met Office was totally wrong yesterday as it showed sleet all day - we had nothing falling from the sky.

The South East corner misses out on most things, rain, sun, snow and the BBC weather forecasts. Everything seems to start 'in the South' - and get up to London, totally by-passing East Sussex and Kent.

Despite the warnings, I am not hopeful of any more snow coming our way next week (or of the BEEB remembering we exist).

Shame cos the dogs loved the little snow we had last week -

:( we are getting it now.
