as a New Person with a camera who is not yet comfortable calling himself a photographer would I regret buying the Jessops 300AF Flashgun for my Nikon D60?

All I would want a flash gun for at the moment is bounce light from the roof. Defuse the light and turn the flash power up and down.

Will this flash do all of this for me?

If so why is it £34 when the cheapest Nikon unit is £120?

Cheers

Can this not be done through the camera's onboard flash though, or through the camera menu's i no my D90 does this and i have this flashgun.

Cheers.

Is there a flashgun that people would reccommend to me? The 360AF? Althought for £35 it sounds like a bargin just to solve the problems of the pop up flash.

I bought the 300afd for use with my D40x and it does the job for me, i`m a beginner to flash, if you find its too powerful you could try adjusting the flash strength in camera although i cant say this does anything or better still use some diffusers.

Hi. I got one of these CLICK for my canon 350d and didn't expect much for the price but wanted one that worked until I could afford a speedlight (I still can't!) It works fine with ETTL and is the correct voltage etc. Nowhere near as good as the speedlight, but for now it's OK.
