The Isolation Thread

Just checked Mrs Nod's set - Super Taper.

Just remembered that she bought another set when she thought the originals were knackered - turned out that the socket she had them plugged into was faulty.

Bet mine's got the biggest scar!

My wife runs the clippers over mine, i think with my youthful good looks she thinks it will hinder my chances with other women ;)

I've got a dent in mines

I've got a dent where they cut the hatch and an ear to ear scar over the top where they pulled my scalp down over my forehead...

My hair grows at a phenomenal rate and no bald spots/thinning other than over a tiny scar, so if I wait 3 weeks to go it will be all floppy over my face, and that's assuming I can get an appointment, so this is an emergency fallback. I normally go every 5 weeks for a tailored hair cut, went 4 weeks ago so if the lockdown gets extended, which it probably will, the barnet will be driving me mental.
Bought a set from JL, own brand so probably just about ok.

Spent the nice weather this week doing the garden ,it got very neglected last year due to my heart failure ,plus we have sold our caravan so now have a full sized side garden that needs bring back to life . So lawn cutting x2 one to go . Jet washed both decked areas quiet a large amount . Also jet washed flaking garden paint off shed ,then sat back and watched the wife painting it . While I touched up a few garden onaments with spray paint .still got loads to do but it’s looking better .took a few pics but not much around ,even spent time on here . Only 11 weeks 2 days to go :wave::wave:

Don't forget the before and after pics....

I should have come here first. It seems Wahl is the Nikon of clippers. I just bought a Braun, which is like a Pentax or something.

Nowt wrong with a Pentax!
Just like DeWalt et al. are the professional tools of choice for tradesmen, Black and Decker or Bosch do the job just fine for DIYers so Wahl is what you'll see in most salons but Braun, BaByliss etc. will do for occasional home use.

Theres a reason we started discussing wahl though in preference to remington/babyliss in my case, and it's to do with how good they work without the guard, and the remington/babyliss that I have don't glide smoothly without the guard, whereas wahl apparently do.

A couple of practices and they'll all be pretty similar. If I don't pay attention, I can catch a nostril with the #1 guard (which is why I get Mrs Nod to do it all for me!)

I heard of someone who convinced their wife to go topless when cutting their hair to avoid getting the clippings on her clothes.
He was a younger person with a similarly aged shapely spouse

Brings new meaning to being serviced in the chair...............:naughty: :coat:

So today's task has been to go through the filing cabinet and get rid of a ton of superfluous paperwork. Found a check from the council for £105........dated November 2000! :$

That can screw their accounting right up, depending on the department that issued the cheque. Like a shop finding the till £105 up.

When I was writing accounting software in the late 1970s I (without any intention to do so) scuppered a scam that relied on late cashing of cheques. It had worked fine until the department had computerised and they had to do a full audit. I was actually present when the "inside woman" was escorted off the premises by a couple of detectives. :wideyed:

There were 'barber shops' in SE Asia back in the 70s that offered those services, and you could get your hair cut as well...;)

Cleared the shed out last weekend. Sorted the remainder of the garden this weekend, tidied things up, roughly laid another row of slabs around the side now we can actually see the ground :ROFLMAO: I have still been working too! Half a dozen sacks of rubbish to be taken away when we can get that done. Missus has been painting the fence.

Tomorrow we have a tree being taken out that is on the boundary as it's "loose" :$ And it's a good 40 foot conifer......!!

sold the house 3 weeks ago, solicitors are on with that
unfortunately, can't do anything about finding somewhere to move to
did plan on moving in with family members if we had to prior to covid, but that's obviously gone belly up, so have estate agents, so have mortgage lenders
so I dunno what's going to happen
best guess is, the sale goes through but the exchange of contracts is delayed
would have been nice to have been running a buy alongside the sale, but everything that was booked got cancelled.
so my furloughed free time is now spent putting 5h1t3 in boxes preparing to move..........nowhere.

:(
