I'm itching to try it but can't push myself to risk upgrading with the beta. Apparently it can be done without a registered developer device. I don't think I want to risk it but all this talk does tempt me!
 
I'm quite happy to wait till they've ironed out most of the bugs and release to the general public.

You can pay a couple of quid on ebay to get your UDID registered as being part of the developer program. Do that if you're that worried about it.
 
Strongly advise against random public installing the beta. Like I said its for developers to find bugs and test their apps, not for bragging rights for joe public to play with.

What apps do you have Joe?

Do people actually brag about their phone software? I can't imagine anyone brags about iOS7 - it's the type of thing you want to keep private. There's no problem upgrading though, there's no more chance of you bricking your phone than a developer. If people want to use it to have a play about, they can.

In this technological age of course they do.. "Oh wow you have the latest ios7 before anyone else.." Etc

From what I've been reading its buggy as hell with a lot of apps (typical beta 1). Playing around wont take long.

There are also a lot of dodgy versions kicking around too. Ones that provide a link to a website to hand over your payment details..

Did the ban hammer come down because of this thread? If so, that is a bit harsh - he was just a bit misguided in his opinions. He shouldn't be punished for that.

Although if you stepped outside of the computers section of this forum Neil :) the ban is completely justified.

I fail to see what he has done to be banned. He has opinions but mist people have. Harmless banter.
 
Guys, I'm closing this thread only because its not fair to have an open discussion about why a member has been banned.

Suffice to say, it really wasn't about this thread.

More a case of the straw that broke the camels back.

Feel free to start a new ios7 thread :)
