The "how would you edit this photo" game.

looks good. I wanted to do something simple... wish i had now.

Problem is an idea passes through my mind and then i find it a challenge to see if i can create it or not :-/
 
I feel I might just be starting to learn a bit more skill in PP. And 100% its only because of this thread that I have bothered learning anything. Im usually one to just settle with whatever happens PP because I don't understand the process. So.. THANKS EVERYONE :) :) :)

(Just realized the above bit sounds gibberish, basically it says cheers for this thread as I feel im starting to learn stuff :lol::lol:)

Ok, so no where near the standard of your edits but here is my attempt

Basically source ref pictures (zombie, sky and eye). Quick selection for sky line and then feather/correct. Zombies copy into layer/flip horizontal

I couldn’t agree more. I purchased Photoshop and became overwhelmed by all the knobs, buttons, slidey things, layers and masks et cetera. So I purchased Lightroom which I felt suited my needs better for photos. Then I found this thread and decided to give PS another go. Now when I turn on my comp PS is open 100% of the time and Lightroom closed for the same amount. (Go figure!).

What I enjoy about this thread the most is all edits are welcomed without criticism (but not humour) and nothing is taken seriously. A lot of the photo montages on here are very inspirational. It makes you want to learn.

Also Jemdna, you asked for us to attach a method to the edits madness. For the church edit I did there were so many layers and adjustments that I got so lost in them that my brain went dizzy. I felt I couldn’t explain any of it that would make any sense.

I'm a little surprised that there aren't a bunch of Amey contractors standing around that pothole pondering the best way to fill it. :shrug:

You know there is a history button you can press and it will save the process for u so you can back track and see what u have done

I'd be happy with that as a first go. Often its coming up with the original idea that's the hardest bit and you've done that with aplomb. Its the only bit you can't learn ;)

haha, the pen is mightier than the history.. stick with it, its well worth it when you get to grips with it.
 
Ohh this has been tricky again.
I love MrG's teeth whitening and Wayne's mono version, but the winner, just for a change is Zero Cool.
Nice subtle edit and I like it.

(or is that LeftCool or ZeroCurl? :))

well I never :thinking: how can a mish mash, of a coloured heed, be better than a subtle blend of natural elements enhanced by delicate artistic flair is beyond me:cuckoo: there is obviously some kind of scam going on :thumbsdown: and I am now looking for the mods to intervene and stop this kinda thing happening again :suspect:

Wow _ I have just flicked through the last few pages here - I am such a PS numpty - I had NO idea you could do such fun stuff with it... some of you ave a real talent (and imagination!) Will now keep an eye on this thread!!
