:eek:Thanks Mr G!.......... and sorry for winning alot! I cant help it I love photoshopping - I just hope people arent submitting because they don't think they have a chance.

I look at my photoshops after I've done em and think they aren't good enough so submit what you can do it might well be everyone else's cup of tea!

If anyone is interested

Some key tips on that image :

* I actually cut the foreground building out to paste on to the background picture, that way i was able to use the Photoshop Defringe tool to cut the white fringing down when pasted.
* I always use feather on copying and pasting, depending on the photo approx 1-10px is usually enough to give you a nice edge to work with - you just use the erase tool after youve pasted it to cut out what you dont want.
* The trees were masked the same way to cover the bus/people at the bottom... selected an area on the left with lasso tool, copy, paste, use arrow keys/mouse to move it along over the bus/people- really really simple!
* Adjusting LEVELS is key when copying and pasting parts - this lets you make them both look like they are part of the same image
* I selected the side of the building with lasso tool and increased the exposure/brightness to make it look like the flames were lighting it more
* Quick hint to making things a fancy colour like above - go to IMAGE >> Adjustments >> Black and White >> then choose a colour filter at the bottom and adjust various individual colours to lighten/darken certain parts!
* I used Guassian Blur on the sky by approx 3px just to give it some DOF

LOL!

well done Zero...

it's the little extra bits that do make the edits that much better eg. the lighting of the side of the building... you see i don't think of stuff like that - but it is pretty simple.

i think i sometimes think of an idea but then think it's too hard to pull off (:naughty:) - but there's probably an easier way of doing it that i don't realise.

anyway... on with defacing the wooden eagle

Another one bites the dust  early with this one so will prob fade into oblivion, kinda rushed, work again damn nuisance ;)

I did think about it but the statue of liberty is turned slightly away for the sea in the original so I left it the same (near enough)

I did think about taking a photo of one the local wood sculptures for this, but the weather's a tad unsettled ;)

Wow some good edits been going on! I;m in the process of moving house so I've had no time for all the fun stuff in life, like this! Will be finished on Saturday, but how long it takes me to unpack and get everything set up is anyones guess. I should have it done by precisely 20:03.52pm on Wednesday 15/06/2011.
