I agree, the obsession with how much money someone else has is just odd, anyone that has a penny more than you is 'richer' and seems to be begrudged. What someone has in their bank account, or the value of their house, or the education they received matters not a bloody jot as to whether they can do their jobs. Many politicians these days are 'career' politicians with precious little life experience outside politics, and whilst I don't think that should be the case, it is and the 20 year old SNP new MP has proved it is a trend not likely to change in the immediate future.
As already pointed out, in the south east, but particularly inside the M25, being a millionaire because the property you bought 20 or 30 years ago or more has increased in value doesn't make you 'stinking rich' and living in that environment with lots of these people I can assure you, most of them are as hard working as anyone in 200,000 pound houses and probably enjoy only a similar level of life luxuries.
Yep, let's see how well they can stick to those plans, its going to be an interesting 5 years.

Great result. So now there are no excuses, not blaming anyone else etc. They set out to deliver this:
•No rise in any rates of Income Tax, NIC or VAT
•Increasing the threshold for payment of the 40% Income Tax rate to £50,000
•Increasing Personal Allowance to £12,500 and in future increasing it in line with increases in the National Minimum Wage
•Introducing an extra IHT allowance of £175,000 per person available only against the family home, so bringing a couple’s IHT nil rate band up to £1m
•Increasing the "Remittance Basis User Charge" for people domiciled outside the UK
•Reducing tax relief for pension contributions for taxpayers with income over £150,000
•Maintaining the "most competitive business tax regime in the G20"
•Giving employees of "large employers" and the public sector a right to three days per year paid leave for voluntary work
•200,000 Starter Homes by 2020 (to be available to under 40s, at 20% off market value).
Lets hold them to it and support them getting the job done.
