I agree in principle, but I'll also say that its a tough call TBH, does it mean that people actually get employed that wouldn't have in the first place?
Some money coming in, rather than none, if you see what I mean.
As an aside prior to being made redundant sometime back, I was put on a zero hour contract, from a salaried position.
(I wasn't officially told that I was about to be made redundant, but it didn't take a genius to work out that's what was about to happen)
I was guaranteed that I would be paid for hours worked, nothing more nothing less,
for those last few months running up to redundancy, my monthly income went up by 50%
