For anyone who missed this six part series first time around on BBC Four, it is being reshown beginning this Saturday, 7pm on BBC2

I have a photographic memory that was never developed
 
whats it about?... ok I know photography but you know what I mean!
 
It looks back at the history of photography and at certain aspects of how it was used during this time (advertising, art, portraiture, etc.) from memory.

It was originally aired in 2007 (I think) so my recollection may be a little cloudy. Was an interesting series though.

I have been watching it. Got to episode 4 so far I think. It's fairly interesting, but helluva dry.

BBC Two are presumably calling it a new series - which they've done when they've re-shown things that have run on BBC Four previously.

Tremendous series I thought. A couple of issues with how it presented a linear narrative of photography and didn't allow for too many alternative 'forms' to be presented as valid but a decent, serious stab at a complex subject.
 
Cant wait, gunna set up my Sky+ box and series link it, and then ill set aside one weekend and watch them all in one hit.
I showed me some great work by some of the all-time greatest photographers and developed my love for the work of Eugene Atget, to which i now have books of his work.

Cant wait :D
 
Watched this tonight, the war photography and Ghetto stuff was amazing.

I enjoyed it. Was refreshing to see a photography documentary that wasn't dominated by a group of over inflated egomaniacs and pretentious arts commentators.
 
I've got the book sitting on the coffee table and am really enjoying it
 
It is a new series too...yay
 
I must admit, the first episode wasn't that exciting. However I'm glad I watched the second. Will be watching the rest. :)
