The Game will Soon be upon us again

I'm sorry but that is awful, just to promote a flipping TV show whom ever though that was a good idea wants a good talking to :( even if it is only for a week...I'd be interested to know who exactly approves stuff like this

What's awful about it? It's only a name change for a week, harmless really.

Cannot justify if I'm honest it's just something that really grates with me :(

No big deal. I'd imagine it'll have it's benefits in people visiting because of it and that'll be good for the local community and businesses. Don't see what the bloody fuss is about.

How dare people enjoy life and have a bit of fun ;)

Will it not promote the village, perhaps increase profits for local businesses that week etc.

A pretty village in rural Hertfordshire

It can't be the Kings Langley I lived in, I wouldn't describe it as rural or pretty :wideyed:

You'll have to give us some sort of a clue Matt, you can't just say something's awful without saying why.

Wish I still lived there.

Don't you have anything that just gets on your nerves for not particular tangible reason...If you want me to really justify why I'm not enamoured with stuff like this it's because it cheapens the history of the village, I'm sure there is historical reasons for the villages name but now someone or some organisation is cheapening the name with this publicity stunt...

For the record to this day I'm fairly convinced the name of my own village is recorded slightly wrong :(

It's for a week, a bit of fun. I assure you the village folk won't be marching on the parish council armed with torches and pitchforks.

And no, I've never had anything that got on my nerves for no particular tangible reason. If there were no particular tangible reason, why would it get on my nerves?

Well there we go Marc, you don't object to something like this, I do...simple at that
