The future for Ilford

Ilford sadly, are in difficulties again having declared the company to be insolvent in the absence of a long term investor.

Wonder where it goes from here

It is an entirely separate company from the UK Harman Technology (trading as Ilford) which makes film and traditional photo paper.

The failure of Ilford Switzerland has no bearing on the financial status of the UK company.

for those of you that do use Ilford smooth pearl, I came across this ILFORD A4 Galerie Prestige Photo Paper - 25 + 10 sheets from Currys-PC World, of which I am awaiting delivery.
I thought the price very reasonable, £12.99 for 35sheets, including delivery.
Or are there better deals?

You might want to look at Canson paper as an alternative to Ilford's Gallerie. The Byrata Photographique is very similar to Galerie Gold Fibre Silk

Just visited 7dayshop to stock up on Galerie and it's all listed as Unavailable now. Luckily, I got a fair bit not so long ago but it'll still run out all too soon!
