Help needed folks and folkettes, normally I wouldn't mind but for the last week have been under the weather and had no sleep at all the night before last after eating something bad, this evening my neighbours have decided to have a full on bash and the noise is doing my nut in...

Have knocked on the door so will give them a while but advice on what to do next while keeping it amicable would be appreciated...
 
play it cool and prepare your loudest DIY tools for around 6:30am tomorrow morning?
 
Luckily they were good and turned it down, would have been going to collect the track car from the folks this morning had they not lol...
 
Most people normally respond well to a polite conversation (like yours did) but always good to have a back up if they don't. :)
 
Had a similar situation a couple of years back but it was me making the noise :lol:

I live in a block of 10 flats and have people above, below and to one side of me. Before too many people had moved into the other flats and when I knew everyone was out I did a little "sound check" of my 7.1 surround amp that runs at 130WRMS per channel (I'll let you do the maths :lol: ) Very loud and made the handrail on the communal stairwell vibrate lots :thumbs:

It was about 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and the neighbours were out, I didn't have it *that* loud but I was playing some pretty heavy D&B.

Heard a knock at the door and it was the guy who lived downstairs, he asked if I minded turning it down as he'd been at work since 5am, had just got in and wanted a bit of kip so I just said no probs and turned it down.

From time to time he'll have his music on too but we're very much live & let live....... although it was a little embrassing when he emailed to say that with our bedroom being above his bedroom he could "hear all if you get what I mean" :eek::nuts:

We laughed if of and I said I'd buy the other half a gag for Christmas but SWMBO now can't look him or his other half in the eye :lol:

... and they will be hard asleep and won't even notice, or you will be tired and give up soon. It's better to go and talk.
