The Formula 1 Thread

Can we please keep this thread for discussion of F1 and the races etc :)

There's another thread running here ------> LINKY all about the BBC / Sky Coverage

Thanks

It's an F1 thread that's been running since the beginning of May.

Surely comments here regarding the future coverage of F1 falls inline with discussion squarely for a thread on F1.

It does, but as there's a thread running specifically discussing this one issue it get's very confusing to have the same subject running in two different threads :)

I think Vettel will storm to the win on Sunday! Predictions peeps?

I'll take a stab at Alonso... I think the pack are starting to take the fight back to Red Bull now.

(Watch Vettel and Webber disappear off into the distance and win by a country mile now)

I agree - I thought a previous post had been deleted:bonk:

I hope to the very highest power that Hamilton/Alonso/Webber is the result with Buttholio stealing a march on either the second or third......somehow don't think so:thumbsdown:

Hamilton's been the pace setter in both practice sessions today so he's looking in good form for a strong weekend :)

Red bulls season seems to be exactly like Buttons when the Brawns had the better car for the first half of the season,

Vettel isnt any good in traffic, once the other teams catch up i think we will see less of Vettal on Pole.

*ahem* That rant was meant for the other F1 thread, apol's! :)

The inters were not the issue, that was a great choice to make in the cirumstances. The poor choice was the softs when everyone else went on hards. If he'd also gone on hards it would have been a procession to the end of the race. As it was, he would have had to stop again and would finish miles down the track. When the rain came it gave him his only chance, switch to inters (ditch the softs) and hope it carried on raining.

Didn't happen unfortunately, and the turn in the road was just stupid. But the inter choice was perfect, didn't work. The softs, hmm, bad bad move.

Thank you:thumbs:

The fact Hamilton got a drive through - then finished fourth is an indication of how well he and the car went. Sure he could have least taken Alonso without the drive through.

Congrats to Butholio - drove really well in changeable conditions again:clap:

Vettel does not have qualifying pace at this point of the season, he can get pole on a one off lap but can't maintain it during a race, RBR do not have race pace.
We will still see Vettel on pole but he might not win too many more races this season, but then he doesn't have to.
Hamilton is still a loose canon, the soft tyre/hard decision was forced because the team wanted him to stay out for another 9 laps and then go to hard, but he'd shredded them.
I don't think the changeable conditions had that much of an effect, Button just drove a better race.
I like Hamilton, he's exciting, but his raw pace always ends up with tyres knackered before their time, in races where tyre management is a key component and all cars being equal, of the two drivers Button will always have the better opportunity to win.

Yawn - Vettel and Red Bull champions again....yawn.

Interesting to watch Hamiltons after race interview. Have they finally done what they all wanted - totally demoralised him? The constant back biting and criticising?

I hope to hell not:shake:
