Just got back from the Liverpool Vs Man City game i must say City were CRAP(hope they do better on saturday against united)

What's the news on the Tevez injury for Saturday ?

Not sure what side Fergie will field on Saturday with a Champions League game tonight and then a Premier League game away to Newcastle on Tuesday.

Ross County won the Challange Cup on the weekend.:clap::beer:

However last time we did that we got relegated the same season...a quick look at the tables means that I get a bit edgy.

long live andy carroll

Fernando who?

You definately got the right end of the deal.

Torres will be sold soon - he needs to go back to somewhere hot to be happy methinks. 600 odd minutes at chelsea and no goal for £50m!

So far so good United 1(2):0(0) Chelsea but I'm not counting my chickens.

Chelsea still need two without reply to win - same as they did at the start I guess.

Right now they look to lose but i predict them to get 2 goals to be honest

we'll see if my lucky streak from picking the GN winner continues!

Well down to 10 men and chelsea just look absolute dog poo so think thats the end of that game

That's another one chalked off.......

Great to finally have Park back and Valencia will hopefully continue to get stronger.

Berbatov and Scholes kept fresh although I've no doubt Ferdinand will need another trip to the garage.

4 goals in 45 minutes - not gonna happen. Good game of football though, chances both ends, flowing attacking football.

Be nice if Spurs get one or two and keep a clean sheet.

F******** T********* W********* B******** Gomez!

Lets be honest, we were out when Crouch got sent off, before they have scored 4. Lets hope we can still score a couple and win on the night. Playing for pride, or can we score 6???

you cant pin that on crouch. madrid would have won this set if he'd been sent off or not. Madrid have just been too much for spurs, the better team won.

Spurs can feel proud to have achieved what they did though.

I agree with what you say, but if Crouch hadn't have been sent off, then we MAY have been able to limit the goals scored in Madrid. That would mean that the game tonight would have had slightly more relevance. We would still be going out, but it would not be such a wide gap.

But if you had said at the start of the season that out of all the teams from England, Spurs would be the second last to be out of the CL (I know just by a day, but hey) and we would have played and beaten both Inter Milan and AC Milan, had a trip to the Bernabeu, Bale to score a hattrick at the San Siro etc. etc (and we beat Arsenal at the Emirates) any Spurs fan would be more than happy.

like i said, spurs can be proud of what they achieved in that campaign

How sad , You beat two ageing italian, teams, stay in the CL one whole day longer longer than Chelsea,, beat the worse Arsenal team in years, get a footballing lessons from an average Real Madrid over two legs and ...........

Your Happy???

Sorry, Don't believe you.

Well, when you consider that when Harry took over we were in the relegation zone, yep, we're happy.

And I understand your greivance, being a Gooner, you can't understand how anyone could be happy with their team not making a Semi final, or even a Final in a competition, or finishing 2nd in the league, yet not actually winning anything. That obviously makes you Gooners the happiest supporters in the country. The good news for you guys is it looks like it will stay that way for at least another season! It must feel so good to be right on the cusp of victory, then having it ripped away, time after time after time.....

Oh and I am sure that having the worst Arsenal team in years meant that when you were beaten at Home by Spurs, you were not bothered in the slightest....

I was bothered, first time we lost to spurs in 11. Seasons, of course I was bothered.

And please remember that spurs have NEVER in the bottom three at the end of any season, in fact for the last six years they been knocking on the CL door.

So please, credit to Martin and less to Harry.

Missed the Spurs game tonight but It was a tall order I guess.

BY Martin I assume you mean Jol? who left in 2007?

I don't think the current Arsenal side is the "worst in years", I think it's more like the competition has got better. (The side that got whacked for 5 at Old Trafford was appalling...)

However, Spurs have done well this season, and advanced one round further than Arsenal, although we did come up against arguably the best team in Europe for some time.

One thing to consider though, whilst Spurs and even Man City have done reasonably well in Europe this year, the likes of Arsenal & Man Utd have been doing it for the last 15 years. 1 year does not an era make ;)

Steve

Not saying it does, but you have to start somewhere. And progressing a round further than Arsenal, a club who have been doing this competition for years is always good....

Apparantly Harry's latest signing is Tom Daley onto the coaching squad.........

Something mentioned on TalkSport this PM, no English club has ever lost 5-0 over 2 legs in the ECL, until last night.

Another interesting factor was that the stats for gareth Bale in terms of goals and assists are substantially below those of Theo Walcott, who has played less games. Bales gets hailed as a new hero, and everyone seems to be on Walcott's back, as usual.

I know which one of the two I'd rather have in my squad, and he ain't Welsh...

Steve

I couldn't care less about Arsenal Spurs banter so being un-biased - I'd have Bale at United before Walcott.

Stats are just that, Stats. They can interpreted any which way but loose. For example, according to the stats, who was this countries greatest Formula One Driver until the other week? David Coulthard. Now it is Jenson Button. Yes, these are the two drivers who have scored the most F1 points, therefore they are the best!! Never mind either Hill, Hunt, Stewart, Clark, Hamilton, Surtees or Sir Stirling Moss.

The reason Bale is getting the press is because he has come from being a bit of a lemming to being a world class player in a short space of time. Yes Walcott is good, and he has scored hattricks, but who was the last player you saw score a Hattrick like Bales, in a big stadium against a quality team, in a high level competition?

And I would love to say you had no hope getting him. Even though he has signed a new contract, I get the feeling somewhere that he may end up on the transfer market. I hope he doesn't, but who could pass up a season at Old Trafford, under Ferguson, which fellow countryman Giggs as a mentor ? I wouldn't blame him if he went, but he has said he won't.

Enough about the CL....

...where the action is really at is the last weeks Alba Challange Cup Final, so heres footage of the 1st goal for County. To think Spurs fans sometimes complain about Gomes.:lol::lol::lol:

(btw - even more Kudos for the Gaelic commentry, you've not experenced football untill you've watched it on BBC Alba)

At least Spurs have got a goalkeeper :)

Gomez is a funny one.

I'm not really qualified to join in with the Arsenal / Tottenham Hotspur thing as you Sourhern guys seem to bicker over nothing LOL - He never looks rock solid but sometimes he pulls off amazing saves. That said - sometimes he looks a complete numpty.

He reminds a bit of Bruce Grobbelaar

Who said anything about being Southern? I'm from the Midlands thank you, no sourthern softie here!

The trouble with Gomez is you never now who your gonna get. It could be the superstar, it could be the numpty. And the chances are, when the pressures on, you get the numpty!
