Well, who for Man Utds Player of the Season? Lee Mason or Howard Webb?

Watching MOTD and tearing my hair out.

Both Motson and Grant feel Vidic should be sent off as he was last man...

...That's not the sodding rule thicko's. There is no such rule. It's all about if he denied a goalscoring chance and I think the ref got that spot on. No wonder the refs get so much grief when even those in the game don't know squat.

How much did Man Utd pay the FA this week?

Must have been a fortune after going down to two penalties.

Vidic (Bored) - yes - he could have gone off - on another day he would - and has - but today he didn't. The penalty against Upson - yes it it was harsh but we've had some go against us late.

At the end of the day we came back from 2 penalties - scored 3 good goals and a penalty.

As soon as I knew we'd got a 4th I thought thank God - that will stop folk digging for nitty gritty stupid complaints but it would seem we need to win by more that 2 these days.

Just coming over as being bitter

 he was booked - Ref got it right.

As I said - he 'could' have been sent off - but that would be wrong.:rules:

United ground 3 points out from 0 - 2 down away from home.

Arsenal bummed out big time against a 10 man relegation side at home and Chelsea couldn't muster a win.

Regardles of United - London teams ****ed up - end of.

What on earth is going on with rooney at the moment? His swearing outburst was a bit weird.

He just looks like a complete n*b jockey these days

rooney just seems to get worse and worse. hopefully he'll get slapped with a ban. disgusting bloke.
On the plus side for football this weekend, city oozed class, and its good to see mancini has opted for a little more attacking football. I think we won't be seeing as much of Barry in the city line up in the future. glimpses today of what might be the makings of a great side!

He's always been one hasn't he.

He does seem to have a Mr Angry thing going on at the moment - perhaps it's his marital problems - who knows.

As for the swearing - Another Rooney incident that I'm not going to defend however it's yet another Rooney incident that has everbody hot under the collar demanding a public hanging despite it being another thing that passes under the radar when others do it.

not always, i used to really like him but lately i cant stand him.

Be honest, when was the last time someone swore like that directly in the camera and didn't get punished?

Personally I find it qiute ironic that Manchester United fans can sing the praises of a SCOUSER, yet hate all things liverpudlian with a passion

Good to see the FA haven't been spineless when it comes to dealing with Man U this time around. A well deserved ban for an utter ****.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have been punished - just that it becomes a big song and dance whenever it involves Rooney.

I'm from Warrington so have as many Liverpool friends as I do United. I actually quite like Liverpool and the people - obviously the scousers that hate United with a passion aren't on my Christmas card list though.

Because of all the hype Rooney 'incidents' seem to generate - the FA (as per Fergie's ban) were never likely to be 'Spineless'. Hopefully it will set a precedent now.

But you are saying that someone else has done similar and not got the same publicity, I don't recall this so if you do know this please comment on when this has happened before

Well whilst you guys are still banging on about flippin' Rooney, I'm going to revel in tonight's performance that's brought us another step closer to the Premiership! :D :p

Every football fan's favourite misspelt manager - Neil Warnock/Colin W****r

Actually not correct, they hate Liverpool football club, there is a difference.

I saw that -

Ok, what Rooney did was not right, but full of emotion having got a hat trick to put his club in a great position having been losing. 2 game ban though.... Yet again the FA balls up IMO. He should have been banned for elbow the other week but wasn't so they ban or this which says that swearing is worse than possibly breaking a nose/eye socket/cheekbone???

So Spurs tonight, obviousl want them to win, but reckon we will struggle and can see it being 3-1, something like that. Need that away goal, and have the players (if Bale is fit) to get at least one, but worried about the defence, the atmosphere, the pressure of being at this stage of the competition.

And with Mourinho having lost his 900 game run, they are under some extra pressure to put in a good performance.

Yep - I'm hoping Spurs can get a good result tonight.

Is Ronaldo playing ?

He is, as is Bale and Van de Vart

Though Lennon has picked up a Hamstring since the teamsheet was written, so Spurs only have 6 on the bench

Bloody Gooners, even when they leave they still get us! 1 nil to Real. Adebayor. 4 minutes

And Crouch gets a Red Card, lanky numpty!

To get to half time with just one goal against is good. Fingers crossed we can keep it at that for the second, that would be a great score to take to the Lane.

Said it would be tough, 3-1 if Crouch had not been a plonker, 4-0 cos he is. bet he is looking forwards to the flight home...

not a great night for the spurs. I'd say thats probably them out of the CL now and most likely not back in next year either, it was an exciting run for them much like blackpool for the first half of this season but that's that for now i would think.

Have to say I've been enjoying the results come up. Sounds like a great game to watch, really looking forward to seeing the highlights! Shame another English team is all but out though, still, they could make an amazing comeback at home!

Really wanted Spurs to do well tonight - obviously United or Chelsea will be going out so it would have been nice to keep English interest going.

It will take a miracle in the 2nd leg but who knows......

Once a Gooner, always a Gooner... :)

Spurs have been punching above their weight for a while now, and it hurts when you come down to earth...

^^^ What that man said.

Adeybyor, loved by Arsenal fans once again. Lol

Yeah, shame he had to go to another country to play in a Champions League Quarter Final......................Fabregas will have to do the same.......

Haven't seen any of the footy tonight but listened to the first half on the wireless while I made dinner, sounds like Spurs coped reasonably well in the first half (considering) but were put to the sword in the 2nd. You never know in football - that is why it is a compelling game but I think they need more than luck to pull through in the return match.

Very True, but if Fabregas decided to say he will YET AGAIN be playing Champions League Football next season.

As for Gareth Bale........

He'll be happy that he had the chance to get some UNEXPECTED experience at European level, well before any of the Spurs squad expected, and be looking forwards to playing there again for Spurs in the 2012/13 season.

Whereas Fabregas will YET AGAIN be wondering why the trophy cabinet at the Emirates is empty...........and be really happy he joined Barca....

Of course, Bale still has a C/league game to look forwards to playing in this season, unlike players at another North London club........

Bloody Charlton. Not too sure how long we're going to keep Powell. 13 games, 1 win and 2 draws in that :(

I don't think this is true, if you're doing what if's then madrid should have had another goal for the penalty from dawsons handball. I think you would have got thrashed even with crouch on the pitch, real were just too much for you
