Want to win something in England...

...Hire a Ginger Scottish manager ;)

Happy for you Spurs but doesn't work the other way does it...... (Up the Villa!!!!)

Wenge has a big job to remotivate the team in the short-term, but I not for too long. Will be tough if they end up with nothing...??

I don't know why, but I keep having Rihannas "Umbrella" song going through my had with the lyric changed from "under my um-ber-ella, ella, ella" to "you can't beat Aston Villa, villla, villa" - maybe with a bit of work there's a chant in it, if someone hasn't got there first.

And if it helps, I do prefer Villa to the other b'ham clubs, no idea why, must be the snazzy colours in the strip.

Not sure whether that result is good or bad for my lot wednesday night, we are down to just two midfielders and one is an eighteen year old who has only played four games.

Whatever happens the 9000 visiting fans will have a good night out and well done today Birmingham City, shows how if you rattle their defence it pays dividends

You Spurs supporter make me laugh, you live on Arsenals failure. One day IF your ever become a big club, you wont bother about Arsenal your just be interested in your own results. Till then, keep watching The ARSENAL, were here for you. xx

Not a Spurs fan but could I point out that in the last 5 years Spurs have won more trophies than Arsenal

Then again so have Portsmouth and even Liverpool

And of course Chelsea and Man Utd

Oh and Birmingham

Just on my way back from Wembley - not happy!

Only one team turned up today so well done Birmingham we didn't deserve it.

Would have posted earlier so people didn't think Arsenal fans were gutless but signal was really bad with so many people no doubt ranting on their phones!

As an Arsenal fan I'm getting used to the ups and downs beating the best team in the world would spur on the likes of United and Chelsea but us - well god knows what goes through their heads, just didn't show up today.

As a Spurs fan we always take great delight when you lose, just as you do when we lose.

The thing is though, Big clubs win trophies, so I can't even call you that. Yes, Spurs may have only had one win in recent years, but that is more than you have. And you could argue that with the resources available to Harry and Arsene being so vastly different, and the time that Arsene has had to build a team, you should really be doing much better than you have done.

At Spurs, at least we are not sitting, putting a massive weight of expectation on our players, feeling that they owe us a trophy, which you guys do.

Thats why B'ham won, because the fans and players knew this would be the only time they woudl play for a trophy for the forseeable future. They played to win because they knew that if they lost, they would not get a second go, and if they lost they knew they played their best.
Arsenal play not to lose, and it showed, the pressure to win is so great.

We are happy when we do well, when Bale got that hat trick, yes we lost, but we destroyed Milan at home in the second half - so we felt like we had won and were very happy with that. We didn't expect to beat them at WHL, but we did.
You came back from a goal down to Barca, at home, to win and all of a sudden your on a quadruple! You will expect to travel to Spain and win, which I don't feel Arsene has the nouse to do. He is too predictable, won't buy in players for positions you are obviously short in, and relys on one or two talented players that leave the team woefully short when they are absent. Arsene has had enough time to find a way to fix these glaring mistakes but chooses not too. He won't be fired, because the team fill a stadium and so the business side of things is doing well. A new manager would spend money, change the style of play so they might be a bit uglier to watch but stand a chance of winning. But with that, you may lose bit of gate, so that won't do. If the owners wanted to win, they would open the chequebook. They would make Arsene buy players. You even resort to spiking other teams food before important games......(though I always said, if we had finished above you in the league, you would have won the european cup and knocked us down to the EUFA cup anyways, so I would rather you finished above us in the league but not win the C/league)

Since your undefeated year, you have lost the edge, you don't have an out and out leader. Even Lee Dixon said that Wenga was being the captain from the bench today.

Isn't Wenga the Premiership manager who has been at a club the longest without winning anything now?

We aren't going to see eye to eye on this, obviously, but thats half the fun of the fair!

Seems Wenger only has a plan F to work with. F = Fabregas. When he does not play they look very ordinary. It's a shame. Arsenal play the right way, and are run the right way. They really deserve to be winning more.

I think once they win a trophy more will follow. A bit like Utd winning the FA Cup and the Cup Winners Cup in the early 90's.

One stand out today was Ben Foster. What a display of goal keeping in the second half (still some Man U blood in him!).

Good luck to the Gunners mid week in Barca. As already said a win will keep them busy with a limited squad.

The point is that football is all about winning things and given the choice I'd rather my side won something occasionally rather than just Qualifying for something or being semi finalists in something else

Here's the way I hope the season goes.

Arsenal lose against barca and out of Europe
Arsenal lose to united in the fa cup after beating LO
Both of these keep arsenal with more focus at home to catch manurenited

Chelsea win on Tuesday and then Liverpool beat manure on Sunday making them drop 6 points.
Arsenal catch them and overtake them
Manure stay in the fa cup and champions league till the semis and then lose, keeping them stretched long enough to also lose out on the league
Ferguson retires because he is clearly blind as a bat for saying there was nothing in the Rooney elbow.

Liverpool win the Europa league, put together a strong finish for 5th place.

:-) a guy can hope

Wrong! ask any Protsmouth fan if they would swap their cup win for a place in the premier league. Football is about being consistent and not stringing 4 cup wins together.

The question was asked on Talk Sport on Friday and the majority of Blues fans said they would accept relegation as long as they could win at Wembley, fooball is about glory.

Wolves have given me immense heartache over the years but I was at Wembley in 1974 and seeing Mike Bailey lift the cup made up for all the heartache and still does

Football is about winning. I was at Wembley for the 1982 FA Cup final (and replay) and was far more gutted about losing that than about any relegation we've since suffered.

I just asked the only 4 Portsmouth fans I know and they all said they wouldn't swap the cup trophey they won for a place in the PL.

oh well looks like I'm wrong lol

I know I wouldn't swap places with Protsmouth, but that's just my opinion.

Chris as an Arsenal fan you are looking at things from a different perspective because you are/were used to winning trophies on a regular basis, but imagine if 5 years become's 10 and then 15 (or in Wolves case 31 years) suddenly the allure of the Premier league place against actually picking up silverware begins to change

John Terry elbows Rooney and breaks his jaw, what can the FA do now?

Any ideas what the FA actually stands for??? Of will it just be *****.

Clattenberg should be removed from the referees list. How he can review that and say no further action means he is either on Man Utds Direct Debit list, or totally inept!!

I saw MOTD and the footage, and cannot see anything that would lead to Rooney getting away with it??? By the looks of it, Rooney wasnt even in his eyeline?

If there is any justice in this world Chelsea will destroy manurenited and rooney will suffer a 3 game foot injury or something :-)

Sounds like you're thinking about United more than Liverpool.

Breaking News from the FA - ''Wigan player James McCarthy to serve a 3 match ban for headbutting wayne rooneys elbow during the Manchester united and wigan game on saturday''.

i am absolutely, we've got b****r all to play for so united's misery will be our only real thing to enjoy this season!

im more venemous towards them than the average fan because i have a whole half a family of man u fans who are constantly gloating and being smug so i want them miserable, couldnt care less about the rest of the londoners who support them :-)

Getting worse for my lot on wednesday, Jon Tehoue went home from training today feeling ill

That leaves us with just two forwards and two midfielders, oh well team selection won't be a problem.

I grew up in Warrington which is slap bang in between Liverpool and Manchester. As a kid in the 1970's & 1980's it was probably a 50/50 split of Liverpool and United fans (Warrington is a Rugby Town) and certainly during the 80's it was the Liverpool fans who were smug and gloating. I guess these things just go in cycles.

Ironically Warrington is where all my wifes family is from!

Well you should forgive them and let them have a bit of a gloat then as they would have had to endure bucket fulls in the past ;)

Where in Warrington ? - I grew up in Stockton Heath.

I live in Newton le Willows

(not so posh!)

Before anyone comments.

Which school? - infants/juniors or secondary - we have more than one of each, so the chances are she has escaped my two angels!
