This is such a listless team. I know I'm biased but Palace are more exciting to watch
We're both biased :)
Tomorrow could be embarrassing though. I've packed my fantasy team with City players an an emotional hedge.

As much as it pains me to say it.....Martial, take a bow son.

Let's see if he's more Macheda or Henry over the course of a season!

I expect the latter.

He'll get the headlines, but a stunning goal by Benteke. And a very good goal by Blind  that brought a very poor game to life.

I think Martial has to learn to smile a bit more. Looked like someone had nicked his sweets at the end. He may lighten up a bit if he scores more goals. ;) Liverpool looked a bit aimless, and Utd weren't much better in the first half. Felaini as a striker though. Oh dear. A fair result though.

The Chel$ki result was a belter. And Moaninho storming out of the post match interview too. Not a happy chap. I wonder what BS smoke screen he'll conjure up.

Cracking atmosphere at Selhurst today. Shame we didn't get the result :(
They say Champions grind out results when they're not playing well - City did that today and I can't see the title going anywhere else at the moment.

Luke Shaw does seem to have crap luck. Finally looking back to his best this season and suffers what looked like a shocker of an injury.

It looked a bad break, but he sent a positive message out. Good luck, and a quick recovery to him.
"Thank you everyone for your messages, words can't describe how gutted I am, my road to recovery starts now, I will come back stronger."

I've only watched it once or twice, but it didn't look like a bad tackle to me. I mean, where is the trailing leg supposed to go in a tackle? It was just unlucky imo.

Made me chuckle Paul Scholes talking of bad tackles. If anyone knows about bad tackles, it's surely him. ;)

Wenger out!

Show some respect to the opposition you arrogant t××t . This is the CL not the League cup. Play your strongest team ffs.

Told you!

To be fair only arteta and ospina are weak, the rest should all be 1st choice ish (can't choose between Gibbs and monreal).

Totally clueless once more though. Good start... Rubbish. Will be tough to qualify as will easily lose to bayern twice.

How in gods name did Costa not see red. Totally incompetent performance by the ref. Will the fa have the balls to charge him? Don't bank on it!

Costa is a prime example of everything that's wrong with football today. Players intent on getting other players booked/sent off rather than just getting on with the game. Giving Koschelny a facial but having the screaming abdabs because Gabriel stood on his foot! He also should have got a yellow for simulating a card when he was fouled earlier.

Costa is a great player, when he plays football. However, he could end up doing something as dramatic/serious in a game as Suarez if Moaninho doesn't rein him in, but like Suarez it could be impossible.

He seems somehow, like Sergio Ramos, to get away with so much, all the time.

I don't care good he is,we don't need player like that in football,as you said i really putting me of the game (n)

Ah, I saw that yesterday before I saw the highlights of the game. Sorry, but the Ref may have not had a good game but Costa hit a player twice in the face, in the same incident, with both hands, and never even got a yellow card, nevermind being sent off. He also continued having little slaps and taps to keep the bad blood going.

I'm all for letting games flow, but there has to be limits. Even Wenger agreed that Gabriel should have been sent off, but he was right that Costa should also have been sent off before that incident.

There was question asked on MotD Extra earlier to the people on the studio as to whether they would like Costa in the team they support, and they all said yes. I would like the player, but not the trouble he'd course, and seeing as the trouble comes with the player, I'd pass.

Just watching the build up to the Liverpool match and Tim Howard said that the way they dealt with Costa last week was to go into tackles hard, but get away from him so as not to be drawn into the stuff he does, and it seemed to work for them. ;) If too many teams could be that disciplined though I think it could increase the chances of Costa lashing out and doing something dangerous and stupid. If Moaninho doesn't have a word, Costa is capable of doing something big and nasty.

Anthony Martial. What a waste of money. That is all.

(Sorry I'm a bit late with this. Still catching up with what happened at the weekend.)

It's unfair to label the lad as a waste of money signing, only time will tell whether his huge transfer fee is justified or not.

Hope it works out better than Zaha.

Oh come on, how can you say that? He's played all of 115 minutes in the Premier League and he's only scored 3 goals. If he kept up that strike rate for a whole season of 38 x 90 minutes, he'd only get about 89. Rubbish! We want our money back!

Trying to work out if this is sarcasm!!

Yes he's expensive but if he gets 20 goals this season then to Man Utd he'll be worth it.

Any match programme collectors here? I went to the Palace v Man City match, which was our 110-year anniversary. I don't have room at home to store this kind of stuff, but if anyone wants it I can post it to you. It's a bit creased from being in my pocket, but I resisted the temptation to draw genitalia on the City players, so it's still unmarked :)

Drop me a PM if interested.

Your take a knock but I'd sell him to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

3 game ban for Costa :) Gabriel red card overturned.

And the Chelsea doctor has unsurprisingly left.

Look forward to the wise words of Moaninho.

Sturridge is back to save Brendan's backside, but it has to be a stay of execution. I was impressed with the commitment and work rate, but some of the defending is still comical. Why he still hasn't employed a genuine defensive coach is beyond me, and it'll be his undoing.

Utd top of the league? Not bothered at all. :D

How do you think you'll do this season?

I genuinely have no idea.

At the start of the season I was hoping for a top 4 finish again. Ideally top 3.

Good result for Liverpool yesterday. :) Poor defending, but they played well and got the win. A day or two of not having Rodgers out all over the place.
Sturridge shows a bit of what we have been missing. Class finishing. Long may he stay fit. ;)

Chel$ki were lucky to get a point. ;)

Disappointed with Cit€h, but well done Spurs. :)

Spurs were lucky, even I'd admit that, a couple of offside decisions weren't given, but the teams fitness saved us again, along with lloris. Quite a young team which could bond well if we can keep the team together. Lamara starting to look like the player he's supposed to be.

But the only way you can keep a team together is if you keep the manager. I haven't checked the stats, but I don't think Spurs are very high in the managerial longevity league. Will Pochettino last long enough to make a difference?

And on a more general note, here's something that I just don't understand. These days the view seems to be that you can't really judge a manager properly until he's been able to build "his" team. But that takes time, and most managers are never given the time. Out of the 92 Premier League and Football League clubs, only 11 have had the same manager in place for over 3 years. In the Premier League, Rodgers is the second longest serving at 3y4m, and it's only really now that people are starting to say he's had long enough to build his team. The average manager lasts less than 2 years. Just enough time to break up his predecessor's squad, which might have been starting to come together if it had only been given a bit more time, but not enough time to build a better squad.

That's no way to run a business, surely?
