One thing that can be guaranteed with Fantasy Football. Your defenders'/goalkeeper's team, if 3-0 up,will concede a pointless consolation goal in the last 5 minutes. Thank you Crystal Palace & West Brom! :bang:

On a positive note, we'll still be 2 places above the relegation zone wen we kick off at the Emirates. Let's hope that @cambsno is shouting "Wenger out!" at the final whistle. :D

Much as I am relieved that the stupid speculation linking Liverpool with re-signing Torres has ended now that he will sign permanently for Milan, can someone explain how the deal makes sense?

He was on a two year loan from from Chel$ki, which Milan have decided to make permanent, (after his 1 goal in 10 games) and will immediately loan him to Atletico Madrid!

Yes, there is another player coming to Milan in exchange, but why not just go for the player they want from Atletico direct. The only thing I can think of is that Milan got him for virtually nothing, so keen were Chel$ki to get him off their books, that Milan will make money on the deal.

It will be interesting to see whether he regains some form now that he is back home with Atletico in Madrid.

I cant, but the loan system is something that needs sorting in my opinion. A couple of presenters on Talksport were discussing chelsea having a full squad's worth of players out on loan the other day. There are some decent names amongst them that would benefit from signing full time to lower Premiership sides, but that russian chap prefers to rake in the money from load fees. There's also the opinion that buying them and loaning them abroad keeps them from other more challenging premier sides. I dont follow Italian football, but would Torres playing for another side there be such a big threat to Milan's title hopes?

Doh. Just realised Spurs v United is a lunchtime kick off.

What with Sam Allardice moaning about the gap between his 2 games being more consequential than the like of Man UTD and a man citeh fan declaring his pride at beating a team millions of oil dollars below them because they didn't have a striker, I have to say, I'm enjoying football at the moment. If it isn't fans talking crap, it's the managers.

Managed to watch it.

Bit of a yawn game but United had the chances to win it. For once it was the front line letting us down rather than the back.

I'm not impressed with Falcao .... he's a bit of a Forlan who I wanted to love, very passionate but seems desperate to find his place.

He's still finding his way back but given what I've seen of him the past there's no doubting he 'has it'.

Whether it'll work out for him is another matter.

He might have had it in another league, but doesn't mean he'll fit here. I loved being proven wrong by Sir Fergie's decisions and I hope something will work out ... the price tag makes me wince still and each big signing makes me feel dirty like a citeh or chelsea 'fan' :D

You must have been feeling dirty for quite a few years then, Utd haven't actually been shy in splashing the cash for many decades. ;)

I put the Chel$ki game on just in time to see them score. :( So I jinxed that one.

Looks like Moaninho is trying circle the wagons and influence Referees by claiming that there is Campaign, by it seems everybody, against Chel$ki. I didn't see the Fabregas incident that he is moaning about, but Referees make mistakes, if indeed he did, that was why Cahill stayed on last week for a blatant swan dive between two players, and got away scot free. If there is any doubt in a Ref's mind about a dive or not, then the team who had three players diving the other week will not get the benefit of any doubt. It shouldn't have any influence, but of course it will.

Cit€h had their chance to draw level but blew it. For now at least. Well done Burnley. :)

Young should have got a second yellow and been off, lots of other cynical fouls got yellows but because he would have been off it was bottled. spurs should also have had a penalty. Looks like man utd still get the refs decisions.
Man utd looked good in the first half, spurs gave them too much room in midfield. Second half spurs fitness showed and they finished stronger.

The odd signing was bearable, but I seriously wondered what the hell we were doing paying what we did for Rooney and maybe a player or two before that. Seriously, It's not about United winning but other teams failing these days ... and has been for a while ;)

Pardew to palace!?

I'd welcome it but can't see Parish/palace paying Ashley to release him from his 8 yr contract.

Good win for Saints yesterday and a bit of quality from Chris Millar.....

Guess I was wrong.

Great game (not villa/palace!) at WHL. the Harry Kane blew Chelsea away. Will Cahill get a retrospective ban for his snidey kick on Kane?

Shambolic. Pathetic display.
But answer me this... Who comes in?

Anyone! Seriously, time after time the same mistakes. I don't know world football. Not many knew of wenger pre arsenal so there will be a number of possibles out there. The ones I can think of would be koeman or klopp. Maybe even bould, promote from within.

One of my friends, an Everton fan, was happy to see the back of Moyes when he went, and delighted with Martinez. Check out the Everton forums at the moment...be careful what you wish for....

It is funny how the two sets of supporters laughing the loudest at United last year, are so quiet this year :)

Indeed!

I wonder if Stevie G will finally get his League winners medal via a loan from the MLS a la Frank Lampard....

I hadn't seen or looked for the the Spurs v Chel$ki result yesterday, so MotD was a pleasant surprise. :D Chel$ki didn't look as 'invincible' as they did. ;) Harry Kane continues to walk the walk. Long may it continue for Spurs, and eventually England if he carries on playing so well.

Still more dodgy decisions, not least for the two Liverpool penalties. One definitely wrong, the other 50-50. The Robert Green hand ball outside the area was unbelievable in that it was missed. A conspiracy against Swansea obviously, because as Moaninho intimated, they can't just be simple mistakes. ;)

Although maybe that is only if the decisions go against Chel$ki.

It was interesting when they showed Martinez's Wigan form compared to Everton's, very similar. I'd be starting to worry if I were a Bluenose. Perish the thought.

They need to do something to change their team over this transfer window, but do they have the money? It will be interesting to see if Martinez is as good people were saying last season. He'll need to be by the looks of it.

I'm a bit disappointed there are no live FA Cup games on TV today, yet fixtures have been spread out to Tuesday.

I watched the City Sunderland game the other day, the first 60 minutes were a perfect example of why I stopped watching football, the last 30 were a very good reason as to why I should start watching again. Then I watched the Spurs v Chelsea game, what a great game for a neutral to watch.

I think fourth spot could go to somebody that has not been there for a while, maybe Spurs, even Southampton, can`t see Liverpool or Arsenal being top four. However, i`m probably wrong.....again.

I think Arsenal will finish top 4, and I think they will have an outside chance for the title next year with a few good summer buys. I'd like Southampton to get top 4 if would be refreshing, but I don't think they will last sadly, hope I am wrong.

Like a new manager. We could have won last year and a few years back with a few good buys in defensive positions.

I know we have a knack of 4th but I think utd will be third and anyone out of us, Spurs, soton or possibly Liverpool could do it.

Totally agree Simon, with the exception of Liverpool, only seen them a few times, but they have been poor and inconsistant.Bit like yourselves. I can see UTD finishing strongly if they get that bloody awful defence sorted.

I think you'll be able to sign 2-3 outstanding players over the next couple of seasons - personally I think Wenger should stay and get his chance for a few years with a bit more money to spend. Worse case scenario is any new manager would probably inherit a stronger squad. I do agree with you his defensive buys are not always the best, or non-existent.

Unfortunately for Wenger, he can no longer hide behind the no money tree playing the super hero that's kept us top 4 without financial backing from the club. Funds were and still are available for a holding midfielder and defence but he chose not to strengthen, instead was referring a charity game in Rome.

The January window closed 3 days ago for us Arsenal fans.

Wenger Out!

That Wenger refuses to buy the type of players most people think they need is baffling, especially year after year. You don't know whether it is being stubborn or not having a clue anymore. Just when you think he has taking them into a bad run of form, he turns it around.

Must be very frustrating for Gooners fans. As it is, they are consistently in the top 6 places every year, normally top four, a position most of the rest of the teams would be more than happy with.

You've seen where Dortmund are in the league, right? And saying Koeman seems a little flippant.
BR had a good season last year, now, not so much. Do they consider sacking him? Same with Martinez. Evidently, Arsene has had much longer to sort out the squad and hasn't, that's negligible. I guess my point is that just simply hoping for any new manager won't necessarily mean Arsenal will suddenly become champions.

You know most Arsenal fans are not necessarily looking for a manager that will make us champions year after year, would be nice though lol

We have been very patient with club and manager for a good 10 years now, who else in the Premier can say the same?
Our patience is running out, fed up with lies after lies, broken promises, taken for fools by the club and to some extent Wenger.

Why was Cesc Fabregas not signed, 25mil is peanuts, even if not needed (which he blatantly is) stops him from going to Chelsea.

Why wasn't the defence strengthen before allowing 3 experience defenders to leave the club.

Why haven't we signed a defensive midfielder, Patrick Vieira left 9 years ago.

Why sign Ozil and play him on the wing
Why are we paying a fortune to watch youngsters playing out of position due to Wenger not having a big enough squad.

Fed up of paying for champagne and drinking lemonade.

Wenger out!

I don't disagree with what you've written but supporters of every club could ask similar questions and point to obvious problems left unresolved.

But they would not as obvious as wengers faults. So many basic mistakes being made week after week? Squad too small and lacking any defensive mid and dodgy centre backs.

Playing sanogo ahead of podolski would be the clincher.

Fergie refused to do anything about about central midfield for years. Did our heads in. Anderson in 2008 or Carrick around the same time was the last one in before Moyes and LVG. Probably cost us a couple of titles.

Agree but surely the paying fans have a small say and entitled to an opinion. Without that Moyes would still be at United.
