He`s passionate.

I dont know what is ruder; swearing when expressing your passion, or shouting the same statement over and over in the face of someone.

Gary Cahill................disgrace to mankind, never mind the rest of the human race.

Utterly disgraceful and indefensible,cheating scumbag.

Not just him to be fair, many others this weekend. Funny how though divers are all cheats but we are happy for our players to pull shirts, nudge etc..

That said something needs to be done. In some ways you can't blame the players as there is no punishment to diving. A mandatory retrospective 5 game ban would work, with a 10 game ban for a second offence. Trouble is the FA have no balls. Too concerned banning players for using Twitter!

Yep,agree whole heartedly. The managers and the FA should grow some balls.

How the hell can Mourihnio defend his players obvious cheating.

As you say, not singling out Chelsea, just quoting examples. Johnson at Sunderland was as bad.

Didn't see the dives in the Chelsea game but G. Neville made a good point during the United v Liverpool game :runaway: today.

Attacker is chasing the ball in the box and pushes the defender over - the ref always lets it go even though the defender gets a nudge and goes down.

Spurs game, Kane pushed over in the box, lands on the ball, Williams kicks him to clear the ball leaving him injured on the floor, no action. Moments later, slight grab of the arm, Swansea player goes down dramatically and it's a yellow.

Happy days :)
'Happier' days at least ;) And a lot quieter here from certain fans that were constantly expressing the same 'joke' last season. It's a funny ol' game.

Indeed, an incredible turnaround. Given that Brenda has already spent £215 million on players I wonder if he'll still be allowed free reign in January? Would any LFC fans consider taking back Torres on the basis of a free transfer?

Could it be worse than lambert/balotelli?

No idea about Torres form but he had a decent work ethic. If I was a Liverpool fan if say he's worth a punt!

Never ever want Torres back.

And why would Liverpool even consider wanting him! Yes they need some quality forwards, but Torres is no longer one. If he was still any good, he'd still be playing for Chel$ki. If he was still any good Milan would have already done a deal for him.

As for Chel$ki and their diving this week, why was Moaninho not taken to task about his players diving. Every manager should be asked after the game about his players who dived, and what they are going to do about it. For Chel$ki there were 3 clear dives, the interviewer should definitely have been asking questions.

Two got called, and the 3rd, Cahill, should have got a yellow too, which would have made it a 2nd yellow, and should have been sent off. The Ref bottled it. Would it made a difference to the final result? We'll never know. :grumpy:

They should set up some kind of committee to look into these things every weekend and fine/ban accordingly. Hopefully it would quickly cut down on it. And if the diving directly led to a penalty, which was scored, then the goal taken away, as a ban/fine is not sufficient to make up for the offence. I doubt any of it will ever happen though sadly.

It will carry on as long as players get away with it like Adam Johnson did at the weekend to get a penalty, until positive steps are taken to try and stop it. It seems to be becoming more frequent, especially this weekend, and nothing gets done about it. :(

Can't speak for how he's being played now but I know he's still struggling. Chelsea just used Torres all wrong till eventually his confidence looked shot.

Liverpool played to his strengths.

Whether Torres still 'has it' if used correctly is anybody's guess but it's been a few years now.

I heard someone on the radio say that they had been over and seen Torres playing for Milan and he was hiding during the game. He may be going through bad times, but he's playing for Milan, he's being paid handsomely you would imagine, and he has his medals in the cabinet. I don't feel too bad for him.

Liverpool played to his strengths, and his major asset was his speed, and that's seems to have gone. Amazingly good business by Liverpool. :D More by luck that judgement though.

Looking forward to sky's new punditry line up....carragher, Neville, Henry. Should be good!

A good much needed win for Liverpool. They played pretty good, though Bournemouth had their chances. Everyone looked pretty solid. Markovic set up a goal and scored a good goal too.

Sterling really stepped up and started to live up to the hype. If he plays like that every week then he may actually be as good people expect him to be. ;)

There was a chap on the Talksport today who had an accumulator bet on some of last night's, and tonight's games, and from a £10 bet, he was up to £6k+. The rest of his bets were for Liverpool and Spurs to win and he would pocket £27k. He was asking for advice. He said he was getting married next year, to which the presenters said he may want to cash out and take the £6k. He then said his girlfriend wanted him to carry on the bet.  After tonight's results it will be interesting to see what he chose. ;)

Well the chap from the radio yesterday let the £10 accumulator bet run into the games last night. He got past half time with the potential winnings creeping up and then cashed out before the final whistle ended up with £24,600.

He needed Liverpool to win, didn't he? So I'd have probably done the same with Liverpool only being 3-0 up ;)

I think he would have got the full £27k after 90 mins. but Bournemouth scoring, and having chances, may have triggered the early cash in. ;) In reality he would have only lost £10, but when it was up to potentially £20k+, and the game being less certain, I don't blame him for cashing in early.

Or a Leicastrophy, you know, shipping 4 goals in the last half hour. ;)

Not quite the same hurt.

The Planets were aligned for Liverpool last year. Everything was in their favour. Then it all went wrong.

Tell me about it. :(

It was an amazing ride, and it was fun while it lasted. :)

Not dissimilar to United in 1991-92 so I know how it felt.

25 years without a title and we came so close before being pipped by Leeds.

I do love watching Bolasie....hope nobody takes a punt in him in January

I was impressed with him yesterday. He gave us a few problems. He is a bit raw and wild but definitely skilful and exciting.

Really proud of City yesterday. MOTD didn't do any justice to the performance (as usual!). The passing and movement was unbelievable and its no coincidence that we have Merlin (Silva) back in the side. His movement and passing is worth the price of my season ticket in itself. Playing with no strikers at all and scoring three was excellent. Zabaletta and Nasri were also unbelievable yesterday. The possession and completed pass rate must have been phenomenal........

I think it might have been different had the Lino done his job properly....
That's football for you. The table might be the other way around if all the officials got every decision right .... I doubt it, but it might make a big difference.

That was a very poor decision but I don't think that Palace would have turned into world beaters if the goal had stood. City were in cruise control and were very much playing within themselves for the final two thirds of that match. It was like a practice match. I for one was surprised at the way they were passing Palace to death as I genuinely thought we would have struggled a little more without any strikers at all. Would, shoulda, coulda wont keep Palace up. The good football they sometimes play will though. They need more goals and they will be fine.

In terms of decision there have been some very strange ones recently. Sergio Aguero was recently booked for diving after he was blatantly hacked down in the penalty area (This is one of the few Argies that stays on his feet, or tries to). Yesterday in the Southampton v Everton game Shane Long was kicked up in the air by Jagielka in the area and the ref gave a corner. It was absurd!! Saints scored from it but it was a terrible decision. Villa had a player sent off for a 50/50 challenge when it looked like Ashley Young was actually more at fault! I am not sure that the refereeing is as good as it should be for the standard of football in England. The referee booked two Chelsea players for diving last week and the Cahill does a fine Tom Daley impression in the area and the ref ignores it. It was a shameful dive and a second yellow would have seen Cahill sent off..........

Chris

Refereeing is definitely getting worse. :( Ironically as Referees become more 'professional'.

But you don't know whether they do anything about the wrong decisions, and indeed whether they are doing anything to improve things. You have to admit to mistakes before you can do anything about them.

How did Liverpool only draw that match!

How did Liverpool only draw that match!

Up top they seem to need about 20 chances to score whilst at the back opposing teams seem to need about 1 chance to score.

I was hoping for a draw though so I'm fairly happy.

Wenger OUT!!!

2-1 up and you give a CB a free header 3 mins from time??? How many examples do you need that zonal marking does not work, at least the way we do it???

Seems a fair assessment. Hopefully, it will mean when Sturridge is back, he be able to convert more of these chances.

Good to see that Liverpool have started making chances over the last few games then. ;)

I thought Liverpool played really well. Seem to be improving over the last few games. Did you notice who has been missing for those games btw? Super Mario my a**e.

Markovic has started to show why we bought him. Scored a good goal during the week, and should have scored against Arsenal. Early days though, he'll have ups and downs for sure, but looking positive for him.

I'd be a worried Gooner about the way they were dominated by Liverpool. They are traditionally the passing side, but this seemed more one sided than last season, but without the Liverpool goals.

Looking forward to Chel$ki to see if they can pull away from Cit€h again.

Ah Boxing Day.

So refreshing to have a full fixture list on the one day.

It would have been nice to have a few more derby matches though.
