I have been a fan of Martinez, was moyes really that bad...

I'm sure many are now fans of Martinez. It only takes a run of bad form for people's opinions to change, but the longer he has his team playing well, the more he will be linked with big jobs. Whether the Arsenal job is considered big is another thing.

For Everton Moyes did a great job, but for Utd.... Not given the time he needed at Utd, but from the apparent discontent from the dressing room, I doubt he would have succeeded given time.

Unbelievable stuff by FIFA. FIFA hires a guy to investigate possible corruption in FIFA by FIFA members. FIFA hires a Judge who releases a summary of the full report that says there was no evidence of corruption for the Russia and Qatar World Cup bids, even though there was no evidence submitted from Russia, whose computers were mysteriously wiped right after they won the bid. Have they not heard of backing up?

Less than four hours later the chap who wrote the report says the report is "materially incomplete" with "erroneous representations of the facts and conclusions". Basically lies. And he is now appealing the summary of his own report. Looks like they hired the wrong guy.

FIFA and Sepp Blatter seem to made of Teflon, nothing seems to stick. It's such a cesspit of corruption, and yet they carry on. :(

Someone said on Talksport that they can't believe the report, or anything else from FIFA gets leaked. They seem to have better security than the FBI, the UK Govt, and even the American Govt. Should get Edward Snowden or Julian Assange looking at them. But I doubt they would have any luck.

Just realised England is a 5:00pm kick off.

That's messed up my day

Began watching the England game this morning, got bored and ended up watching a 30 minute documentary on the Glacier National Park.............far more interesting and entertaining, especially when the grizzlies showed up.

Watching England makes me realise how much I despise most forms of International footie. Give me a league game any day of the week!

So Scotland v England Tonight.

'No' voters have agreed to observe a minute's silence during Flower of Scotland at the North Britain vs England friendly.

People who were preparing to vote Yes but switched at the last minute because of The Vow have been granted a special dispensation to sing this alternative version of the song:

Club before country for me, I'd like England to do well obviously but not fussed. They are a poor team with a clueless manager in charge and the most over rated footballer as captain.

Oh and Fifa is as corrupt as daylight

Club before England for me too (when it's an International 'friendly') but living in Scotland It would be a bad one to loose.

Really enjoyed that performance from England :clap::clap::clap:

It did look good. Think chambers and clyne should be our 2 rb choices with shaw and Gibbs on the left. Ox needs to play with Barclay given a chance and wilshire while Walcott, Rooney and welbeck top it off.

Cb is our only really weak area, aside from Cahill no one really stands out.

I think arsenal have the opportunity to do United over today, maybe even return the 8-3 from a few years ago. I used to look forward to this fixture for various reasons, but am actually dreading the outcome today.

Wenger out!

Not expecting a win today for United but if they do it's into the top 4

Loose and it's bottom half.

Wenger out!

No other option... missed the first part of the game but from what i saw, very poor - the amount of times we pi$$ed around with the ball rather than shoot or cross, inept at the back again and struggled to score against a team with Smalling and 2 youth players at the back, and a team that had not won away for 7 matches!

Absolute joke

How did Arsenal lose that! Should have been 3-0 up by half time. United keeper was man of the match.

In short

Cocked up all their chances early doors.

Then clangered an own goal.

Then once behind, failed to see they were being played like a fiddle on the break by a very makeshift United team who should have had another couple of goals themselves in the second half.

Really happy with the result today, but no real indication of the tide turning significantly, although I only saw the 'highlights'

I don't think you can get an indication of anything with United at the moment.

We've started to build a new team but given all the injuries - we've yet to see it.

As things stand - I'm just happy to just beg, borrow and steal any points we can.

What garbage - Messi the best of all time???

Well, for starters, Ronaldo has done it in another European country, not just Spain. While Ronaldo does have great players in his team, even I would have scored 20 goals in the Barca team of a few years ago! It is hard to compare generations, but Pele helped win 3 World Cups, Maradona (I hate him!) singlehandedly (no pun intended) won a World cup...

Messi is the most overrated of all time - would love to see how he would cope away to Stoke on a windy & wet November evening!

Diego Maradona for me.

Like you say it's hard to compare generations. For me it's a question of how much better a player is than everybody else on the pitch at that time.

Some do stand out but watching Maradona was like watching an over competitive dad running rings round his kids.

Ffs. Sanogo starting with podolski on the bench... What is he thinking? Proof this idiot need to go!

Sanchez again!! Good goal!

Hands up if you think Liverpool would have been ok if they had got Sanchez (pace, effort, goal scoring!).

I didn't think Sanchez was going to be as good as he has been so far. ]

He would have been the perfect replacement for Suarez, same work ethic, determination and will to win. Everything that Balotelli isn't in fact.

He would not have scored as many goals as Suarez, but he would have motivated the rest of the team by example like Suarez did.

I only caught the last 15 mins of the Liverpool game, and it looked like a fair result from that. Henderson goal was very good, and from a great pass from Stirling. The coverage at the end of the game was odd, Carragher was trying to get the digs into Liverpool, as was Souness, and then Gary Neville trying to be positive about Liverpool. The World went slightly weird.

What makes you think that ?

What makes you think that ?

Scoring history up to now. Sanchez averages a goal every 3.4 games, and Suarez a goal every 1.6 games. Sanchez may by on an incredible scoring spree atm, which Gunners fans will hope will carry on for the rest of his career, but I doubt it. It is a long season, and he will be playing most games now, which he didn't do at Barcelona. I hope I'm wrong because he is an exciting player and a great example as to how to play the game.

Conversely, I don't think Suarez will score at a rate he did at Ajax or Liverpool because of Messi and Neymar also being in the Barcelona team.

Some interesting results today.

The wee man still has it though.
