If this Ozil thing comes off it's absolutely sensational for us. Selling him for half the price of Bale is absolute madness.

If you'd have asked me to draw up a dream list of 5 signings he'd probably have been on there...let alone a realistic list!

I'm trying to keep a lid on my hopes until things are done and dusted. Twitter is literally in meltdown over the deal already!

No, that looked like an awkward fall, he seemed to pull Cazorla onto him from where I was sitting. Hope it's not as bad as it sounds, Arsenal have had their fair share of broken legs over the last few years....

No, but it's always a day to smile when you beat the Spuds ! First time my Mrs has been with me to a North London Derby and she couldn't believe the atmosphere :)

Learned some new songs today, best of which was to sing the "He's left 'cause you're ****" song back to Spurs after the RVP episode last year.

He may have scored, but Giroud is still not good enough. Mid table team at best....

Still, glad I decided to go in the end :nuts:

Man United also in for Ozil, bad news for the both of us is, PSG have just made a bid.

Disagree.. I thought giroud had a decent season last year and is a very good player. Good enough to get us 20 goals this season.
 
Ozil was linked with United of late (has been for years) and I think he would be ideal for Arsenal.

Would love to see him at Arsenal, it's what we've been crying out for for years. Just can't see it happening TBH, not now PSG have shown interest.
 
United were reportedly offered Ozil a couple of weeks back and didn't go for him so I'm not sure we'd be in for him unless Kagawa is moving.

Looks to be a pretty much done deal for Arsenal. Medical happening now in Germany (international duty).

Also, saw on Twitter that last week Mike Ashley allowed Yohan Kebab listen to a call with Arsenal reps regarding negotiations over his potential move to Emirates and the rep said '£25m is a bit expensive for a reserve'. Could be absolute rubbish, but the interest for him has certainly petered out.

Moses to Liverpool on loan - think that's a pretty good move.
 
I feel for Fabio having to go play for the crazy fascist for a season.

Guillem Balague said it was all but done for Thiago and Fabregas.

United do need strengthening in midfield though. Have done for years. We're so weak in that department that it doesn't even have to be anybody fancy - anybody would do.

Did he say it for Fabregas?? I thought it was blindingly obvious he was going nowhere and talks with him didn't even exist...
 
I've not once seen Balague be accurate with something that isn't widely reported elsewhere. He's one of many accounts I've blocked on twitter to avoid their "inside scoop".
 
Just had a chat with one of Joey Bartons cousins. Apparently him to man u is a done deal. Two year contract.

Well Moyes has said he wants some bite in midfield. Would be a perfect signing. A proven international with a mean streak and an eye for goal.

While I'm not getting as carried away as some here, it is good to be top of the league and 5 points ahead of Utd. ;) :D May not last for long, but I'll enjoy it while I can.

Hopefully Liverpool have done some good business today with Ilori, Sakho and Moses. Moses looks a particularly good deal in a £10m rated player for a £1.5m loan. I wasn't sure of any of them signing until I saw them in the stand watching the game yesterday.

I was particularly sceptical of Moses, but didn't take into account the relationship Rodgers has with Moaninho.

I wanted defenders and that is two added in one go, one experienced and maybe one for the future. :D

Going to be an interesting transfer day. ;)
 
I can't believe that Chel$ki are considering letting Mata go :eek: as I really rate him and thought he always did well for Chel$ki. :thinking:

Not sure where he would fit in the Liverpool team. :shrug:

Left side of the front three. Devastating. Not going to happen though is it? I too cannot see how José can possibly let him go, but then he's never really liked flair.
 
It'd be bizarre if they do let him go. I'm pretty sure it was here that I said he was my player of the season a few months back and that still stands. His creativity, technical ability and goal threat is amongst the very best attacking midfielders!
 
Reports we're in for Yarmolenko. I've not seen a huge amount of him...

Edit: it's probably bull though.

Didn't Liverpool ask about a loan :lol:

I'd think Mata would improve any team. I'd happily swap him for Rooney assuming we don't do anything else in this transfer window.
 
Just listened to the Bale interview.

Between dressing up like him and the things he said - If I was Cristiano Ronaldo I'd be getting a restraining order.

Another strong rumour is spurs put a bid in for Torres, £15m plus adebayor, but was rejected

I've been on the whisky all day (medicinal purposes) to clam my nerves, I'm now to p×××ed to know whether we've signed him or not.
 
BBC say Ozil has signed a 5 year deal for £42.5m.

Apparently he's Arsene Spender now. After buying one player. :thinking:
