An old favourite......

Be interesting to see Liverpool's reaction. Apparently they're having an emergency meeting tomorrow. Apart from potentially reducing his value as an asset, Fifa have the ability to issue a club ban as well as an international one (if found guilty) and I'm sure LFC won't be too happy to have him missing again for another chunk of the season.

And ironically it was only a few hours ago that he was complaining in a press conference about the UK media - particularly the front page of the Sun before the England game - keep making biting references!

Well a few of the best LFC fan reactions on the web so far...........

A blessing in disguise. Could be the best thing in terms of scuppering a move from Liverpool

Looks just like the top teeth left a mark as he fell into him

ITV and the BBC are live photoshopping the live pictures transmitted live from Brazil by the host broadcaster just to spite Suarez.

If he does it a 4th time It will be no coincidence

Just using what god gave him, what do you expect from a guy with such teeth? karate kicks?

Those are clearly Chiellini's finger nail marks

It's only his first bite at International level

He ran into him with his mouth open

Watch it again. Chiellini clearly bit himself

Twinkle twinkle little star, crap at football England are, crap at rugby and cricket too, is there anything we can do? Twinkle twinkle little dot, come on Murray you're all we got. !!!

Disciplinary result to be announced tomorrow at 14:30 local time (tooth hurty). Many are expecting an ate month ban.

I'll get my coat :exit:

Very good ;)

My favourite from tonight.

He really needs appropriate help. A gem of a footballer but what is going on between his ears I don't know.

I haven't seen the incident properly yet, but if Suarez has done it again, double the ban for Liverpool, and the same at international level. That would effectively end his International career, but if that is how he going to behave on the biggest stage in football then the penalties should be even greater.

He must certainly have mental problems to do something like that again. Such a great talent, but terribly flawed. :(

Penalty for Greece in injury time ! :wideyed:

You've got to feel for Ivory Coast

BBC pretty damning tonight too.

Ivory Coast tragedy doesn't quite have the same ring to it......

Good one. ;)

Got to feel for Cote d'Ivoire losing a goal so late and getting knocked out.

Tonight's games were a lot more entertaining than the earlier games.

Colombia look lethal in front of goal. James (yamez ;)) Rodriguez could be a star in the making. Great goal.

Colombia brought Mondragon on at the end to make him the oldest World Cup player at 43. Good that they were in a position to do it.

What a night to be Greek! A win that was actually thoroughly deserved. We played some cracking stuff second half. I fancy us against Costa Rica too.

Definately the better team but boy did you leave it late !

We did that! I almost had an infarction when the manager put ANOTHER striker on when we were chasing it. We've surpassed expectations now so I reckon we should just go for it in the second round. We proved tonight we can balance the great defence with some at times blistering counter attacking.

Samaras showed a lot of balls with the pen, keeper was doing his best to put him off.

got to be a significant ban now fro Suarez. 2 year international and a year domestic?

Subway have moved quickly to drop Sturridge from their adverts after England's ignominious exit, and have swiftly brought in Suarez to sink his teeth into a tasty Italian Sub.

For an incident in domestic football, against a crowd member (member in all senses, and I'm a palace fan).

Suarez was against a fellow pro. Not sure that should make a difference but it might. I'm sure the Liverpool lawyers are looking at it already.

Bonkers. Flawed talent.

Suarez looked gutted to the core going off at the end when he should have been celebrating with his teams mates. He knows what he's done but I genuinely think he has a problem. Walking off he reminded me of an alcoholic who had been making progress but had just fallen off the wagon.

Much as I'm disgusted and let down by what Suarez has done and cannot condone it in any way, that photo is shopped.

Not making light of the 3rd offence here, but 2 year ban for a bite as people are suggesting is ott

While not excusing it, it is not as bad as tackles that can put a player out for a season or even life. Even if it's a 3rd offence surely it's not right to ban someone far far longer than say a 2 footed leg brake.

Well, if the length of ban is in direct relation to the size of the teeth, im not sure we will ever see him in a football shirt ever again!

2 years is not OTT it's entirely appropriate. It's not exactly his first offence is it !

It was like a scene from a vampire film! Let's hope the governing bodies insist he wears a silence of the lambs face mask from now on. !

It would seem that the Uraguayan press are blaming the British media for the whole thing, saying that Suraez had been victimised by the press here after his Ivanovic "running buffet".

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/25/luis-suarez-bite-uruguayan-english-press-agenda

From the pictures though, it seems as though Suarez may have bitten off more than he could chew this time, as he seems to have toothache, possibly from attacking Chielini's shoulder shank instead of the more tender meat further down.
I think that a ban from ALL football for a year is in order, and maybe force him to go on a vegetarian diet as well.

Really? It's his 4th offence with bans and fines, one for racism, two previous for biting.

At which point do you take a strong stance and say enough is enough?

If you really want to go on about leg breaking tackles I'm sure I can find the post on here that showed suarez going in studs up on ankles many, many times in one season in the Premiership.

Sorry - he doesn't learn, he deserves a lengthy ban. As for the Uruguay reaction, it's incredible:
- Chiellini is a "snitch" trying to deflect attention away from Italy's elimination.
- Suarez's mouth inadvertently fell into Chiellini's shoulder / Chiellini thrust his shoulder into Suarez.
- the British media have "exaggerated the incident" and are untrustworthy after celebrating the country's 1966 World Cup win with "a goal that wasn't a goal".
- pictures of Chiellini's shoulder showing fresh bite marks are actually of an old scar.

It does look worse in that one than others I've seen - not that it makes any difference.

What was funny is the Real / Shopped one doing the rounds - it was the real one that turned out to be photoshopped LOL

Yeah, I'm sure there are plenty of LFC and Uruguay fans with Photoshop too!

You miss my point.

Player A makes a very bad tackle, that could or even actually break someones leg. He gets a 3 game ban. He does it again a year later, gets another 3 game ban. Does it again the year after, maybe a bit harsher this time with a 5 game ban. 4th time... you guessed it, a 3 game ban.

Player B bites someone... 4th time... 2 years!

Not saying he should not be punished but Player A could have ended a couple of players careers. Its like the whole spitting thing. I play 5 aside and would much rather someone spat or bit me than go in 2 footed on my kneecap!!!
