I'm actually looking forward to tonight's game. Don't support either team (Palace fan) but would like to see Moses do well.

Been very impressed with BR since he took over. You just wonder, if they are there or thereabouts come January with an in form Suarez back whether they might splurge in the transfer market. No European distractions either.

I expect good things from the Reds this season.

It was reported earlier that Sakho hadn't travelled with the Liverpool team, having only trained with the rest of the team because of the Internationals.

And then he turns up playing Centre Back. If you don't have any facts, don't report anything. :nono:

Goal for Shelvey in 90 secs. That bet's gone. ;)

Sturridge scores on 3mins. Assist from Shelvey.

This can go anyway.

Moses looks good so far. Not sure how Sturridge missed that header!

Is Shelvey still on the Anfield payroll lol

Very good from Sturridge...

Luis Who???

I think his ban is a blessing in disguise.

He will give them a boost when he comes back and in the meantime Danny boy is thriving.

Moses looks to be a great bit of business. Shame they didn't have an option to buy him at the end of the season.

Williams is a bloody thug.

Can we have a kick please?

Top of the league. Unbeaten.

Enjoyed the game tonight.

Liverpool did well to hold out in the end but a draw was probably fair.

Probably had to do more for that point than they've had to do for the previous 9

I agree.

Good to see Liverpool out passing Swansea for the first half hour. :) Definite improvement on that front. Need to be creating more chances though.

Amazing game for Shelvey. He was involved in every goal.

Sakho looked a bit nervous on his debut. Moses took his goal well, but looked a touch heavy.

Not too bad a night though, and we stay top. For now. :)

For now ;)

3 points against United wasn't a given but given the disruption to the usual suspects and the way the fixtures fell for them - I think Liverpool were always going to be front runners for the first half dozen games.

I thought Sakho did really well and made some timely interceptions. I would like to see us play for both halves of a game though although I never felt we'd cave last night... Much.

Edit: and when you consider we have 10 from 12 without any players on the pitch it's not bad. One man team?

I think the usual suspects were expected to be frontrunners. ;) Chel$ki with Moaninho back, City and Tottenham with the money spent on already v. good teams.

Liverpool may have finished last season well, but that guarantees nothing. ;)

It may not last all season, but I'm enjoying it now. It takes me back. ;)

Doesn't seem to be much praise for a superb second half showing by The Swans

They were excellent. Moved the ball around at pace and we never got a kick. Thoroughly deserved a point.

Seriously, that last half hour was brilliant. I know how other teams feel when we do exactly the same to them now!

Coutinho out for six weeks thanks to the thug Williams. I'd play Gerrard there on Saturday and then have Suarez there.

There is a school of thought in this part of the world that if he hadn't leapt like a salmon, he wouldn't have landed so badly on his shoulder - just a thought!

Williams left his foot in high. What was he supposed to do when he was travelling at that speed?

Initially I laughed at the way Coutinho threw himself over the top of Williams' foot. Obviously I don't like to see anyone get injured and I wish him a speedy recovery, but Williams literally just hovered his foot in the air to impede his progress. He didn't actually kick him and certainly didn't do anything thuggish. A foul, yes. Thuggish, no. Coutinho actually leaps into the air before any contact is made. If he's going to do something silly like that then it's his own responsibility to make sure he lands safely.

The event is at 4:00 minutes in this video for those who didn't see it:

It's a loss for Liverpool, his creativity has been excellent, but you'll get by without him and in a sense it opens up a place for Suarez's return without having to put anyone from a successful starting XI onto the bench and risk upsetting people.

It was a great game to watch. Much better than the United game last night. I lasted 20 minutes before switching the tele off. A combination of ITV commentators and the developing style under Moyes didn't impress me much!

Jamie, what was he supposed to do? At that speed he made a split second decision to try and avoid running straight into his foot.

Anyway, I agree it'll give Suarez a chance to slot straight in.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that Coutinho was the author of his own misfortune. Hope he recovers quickly.

I think Coutinho made a poor choice of how to draw attention to his opponent's flailing leg. Calling Williams thuggish is over the top.

Just run through the foot and don't try and make it more theatrical than it is? His foot was hovering stationary, waist high in the air. It would have winded him at worst. If anything Williams was probably in the more vulnerable position and could have potentially come off worse from Coutinho's momentum had he not attempted to Ashley Young over the top of it.

Coutinho made a split second decision to throw himself over the foot before contact was made. His own leap resulted in the injury. It's hugely unfortunate that it happened but to blame it on Ashley Williams is just flat out wrong.

Fair enough, I'm prepared to see it that way too. :D

Good result for the O's again last night, that's seven wins from seven games and top by five points with GD of +16

Know it won't last, but enjoying being the only team left in the top five divisions with a 100% record

We don't have Bale anymore so it goes to the next biggest diver. After the Crystal Palace game it's more than deserved :D

There could be a few rotten eggs headlines in the morning lol

Hmmm, my Wenger Out campaign seems to have hit the rocks... although the rant in the paper about the not having a big enough squad made me laugh... why didnt he sign someone!!!

I know Giroud and Ramsey will be grabbing headlines so far, and that Ozil is a class player but I think that Flamini is the missing link and will be our unsung hero. He just seems to hold that midfield pretty well.
