I wonder if city fans will stop wearing their scarfs so tight when the weather doesn't call for it again?
 
it will certainly be an interesting season next year...cant wait for it, i really miss the footy in the summer
 
Pathetic people, fail to see what he achieved last season, and then kick him out because he cannot (or rather the players cannot) achieve the same this season, or indeed every season form now on.
I hope the really struggle next season, possibly get relegated.

well with everton looking for a new manager cardiff citys malky mckay amongst others have been linked with replacing david moyes i seriousley hope wigan get relegated now so roberto martinez gets the toffees job.

Given a free choice, I'd love to see Klopp from Dortmund but thats not going to happen.

It has to be someone who can pull the players together rather than go around upsetting everyone like Mancini is known for. The quality is certainly there but misfiring badly.

That said, it all seems pretty irrelevant as everything points towards Pelligrini
 
With Falcao likely going to Monaco, I'm really hoping City pull off a surprise and get Mourinho. Poor little Chelsea getting doubly disappointed would be sweet :D

I've already seen lots of Chelsea fans giving Falcao grief for going to Monaco for the money :lol:
 
Rumour has it, Fergie's new Ambassador appointment was all a cover story until the news broke about Mancini, and Fergie's taking over at the Etihad :lol:

(Of course I'm kidding....)


BTW I think it's a stupid decision which has absolutely nothing to do with football as a game. It's purely a business decision.

I'm never one to agree with the sacking of a manager for no reason, but I've said for a long time Mancini isn't good enough for the level he was being asked to compete at. With a reported £28m in compensation I doubt he's too cut up about it. Not like getting sacked by one club spells the end for a manager anyway. It's like musical chairs between the manager hot seats of some clubs!
 
Agreed - it's not much of a hardship when a top flight manager get's the sack.

Mourinho to City would be a bitter pill for Chelsea fans to swallow. It would be funny though. I'm not sure whether I'd rather see him at City or Chelsea though.

Either way - it's looking refreshing for next season.

May not have more class than Chel$ki, money does that, ;) but they're following the Chel$ki game plan, money + changing manager = trophies. Worked pretty well for them so far unfortunately. :shrug:

Second in the league, and the reaching the FA Cup final should have given him some more time. If the plan is to win the league every year, then they will probably be changing the manager every other year. Sounds familiar. ;)

Saying that, City have been nowhere near the team they were last year. It is always quicker and easier to change the manager when things are not going well, not well in comparison to last year anyway. The new manager will start to change the problem players players. If he's there long enough. ;) :lol:

If you're going to change, now is the best time. Hopefully they have someone set up like Utd did, and the new chap gets the whole of the summer to make his changes.

Dave Whelan was quoted as saying "Everton are not a big enough club for Martinez" that would be interesting:D

I don't think anyone gave him any hope of achieving much, but I think even the Chel$ki fans have to grudgingly admit he's done a good job there. He took a risk, and looks to have paid off, especially if they win the Europa Cup. If the fans had got behind the team earlier, rather than focusing on how much they didn't want him, I think they would have stated to pick up quicker imho.
 
He has done a good job unfortunately.I was hoping they would finish 5th and win the Europa so they could make an arse of defending that aswell:)

Can't argue with that. ;)

If you're going to leave a club where you have the total backing of the chairman, then you want to go somewhere where there is money to spend, and/or it is a very big club, and I don't think Everton are that imho. :shrug: Everton fans may argue that of course. ;)

If Wigan go down though, which looks likely, any Premier League club looks a bit more attractive. ;)

There are lots of free kicks in every game, that should not have been given (or were not given that should have)... it happens in every game and benefits us, as well as penalising us... think it was Norwich or Newcastle where we saw some lucky decisions?

We've won 1 game in the last 17 that Mike Dean has overseen. 1 in 17!

Referees are usually given a minimum of 72 hours off between officiating games. Mike Dean covered Sunderland v Southampton 48 hours ago.

It's not about the odd decision going sometimes for and sometimes against. It's about a statistically significant deviation from Arsenal's usual results under one specific referee.

There could well be a legitimate reason for how his style doesn't compliment Arsenal's flow or whatever, but 1 in 17 is remarkable enough to need looking at.

I have heard that. Not done any research but thought that part of that is because he is supposed to be a 'top' ref so maybe is more likely to ref us v Chelsea, Man U etc... While the free kick was debatable, it was a combo of poor jumping and a good strike that gave them the goal.

Interesting comment on sky... a defeat is better than a draw for us... a draw would see us 1pt behind, but Sunderland safe so they will be on holiday mode. A defeat means we are 2 pts behind but then Sunderland will need to win!

At this stage I don't buy into any of that thinking. 4 points is better than 3, and 6 is what we need.
