Another joke. The red for silva v Chelsea. Luiz should be the one banned.

Luiz is the one that ended up looking silly but Rafael kicked out so a red was fair enough.

On a happier note - Dundee relegated !

It was a tap, especially when you see players getting away with really bad tackles. Had Luiz got straight up then maybe the ref would not have shown a red? Either way, Luiz cheated.

On another ref matter, how much did Liverpool pay the FA to disallow Evertons goal? Fine to me!

What other players get away doesn't make what Rafael did OK. I accept it was never going to injure Luiz but it was clearly deliberate retaliation.

That was a shocker.

As I said earlier in the day - Everton were robbed.

What was really funny was watching Moyes and Brenton interviewed after the game. Moyes had spoken to the ref so knew exactly what incident the ref had blown up for. Brenton gave his opinion but was talking about the wrong incident.

You would never get a Liverpool fan talking ****** on here!! ;)

No rafael came out of that looking naive, petulant and inexperienced. Luiz just came out looking cocky but he had rafael right where he wanted him.

Ray Wilkins had it right. Sneaky elbows from Luiz.

Did Rafael deserve to be sent off? Yes in my opinion.

Luiz was awful (in his brashness about getting a fellow pro, and countryman, get sent off). In my opinion he deserved a booking for the two sneaky elbows.

Maybe a retrospective punishment for bringing the game into disrepute!

Just my tuppence worth.

On a lighter note, the mighty eagles got Brighton in the playoffs. Should be spicy!!

Sadly, players act to influence refs in every game. I don't think you can punish Luiz for poor quality acting and smiling though.

 Tony Pulis has just criticised Sunderland for their "rough house" approach that had his players "scared" at half time. What a ****.

Ok, with the season nearly over, here is the latest prediction table:

TPLeagueMay.PNG

As we know however, the bottom half of the table could be very different in 2 games time. Huge game for Wigan tomorrow, there will be lots of nervous teams down there if they win - could make for an amazing last day of the season at the bottom.

Points are 3 points for correct place, plus one bonus point if a team you have predicted to be top 6 or bottom 3, is in the top 6 or bottom 3, whether in the correct actual place or not.

Can't remember ever seeing it so tight at the end of the season. If Wigan win tomorrow night, there'll be 4 teams on 38 pts and only 3 pts separating 11th & 18th. You'd think that being in 11th place with 2 gamles to go, you'd be long safe from relegation. No such thing a mid table safety this season!

It's insane. I hope Wigan win tomorrow to keep it interesting. Fight between Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs pretty interesting as well, but there is nothing like winning to stay up - I still remember staying up with our 6-0 win over Palace on the last day a few years back.

See Brentford did it the hard way today, I went to watch them with a friend against Crewe at the old Wembley ages ago, not been to the new one yet but might see go to that game if he doesn't bar me.

It's been a funny old season that's for sure. Apart from the very top it's still in the mix for just about everybody.

Prem League history since 2005
14, 7, 13, 12, 18, PROMOTED BACK TO PREM, 12, 5 (LAST SEASON), 16 (CURRENT)

Nah I will stick with last season being the fluke...lol....

Let's see, you may be right. Two huge games for them now.

Just been and checked the TP Fantasy football league table. Looks like it's down to the two front runners now.

Gerrard to miss the remainder of the season as he undergoes shoulder surgery this week.

It's not his celebration he has applied to trademark at all.

It's a logo using the celebration gesture and the number 11 so he can use it on merchandise.

Telegraph reporting that SAF could be due to announce his retirement.

saw that and went to put a tenner on mourhino being the next manager and within minutes it dropped from 8-1 to 5-1

I change my mind every other day about who I'd like to see follow Fergie.

This morning Paddy Power made David Moyes odds-on to be the next Man Utd manager after a lot of overnight bets, and there's a fair bit of speculation that he could go there as SAF's no.2 for a season before taking over as manager. This evening's reports suggest there could be something imminent.

Official then.

WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I knew this day would finally come, break out the real ale!

Well, its sad in a way, as he has been the greatest manager of all time IMO.

To spend 26 years in charge is one thing, but to do so for arguably one of the biggest clubs in the world, and to win so many trophies is a great achievement. He has built numerous teams, and also invested heavily in youth - obviously the Butt, Nevilles, Beckhams, Giggs, Scholes era was amazing.

Moyes or Mourinho???? Mourinho certainly has the balls and confidence to do well, although I would love to see Moyes given the chance.

Could be interesting seeing as didnt him an Rooney go to court?

probably moyes but i put a tenner on mourihno last night at 5-1 as the odds on moyes werent worth the gamble

Just heard there will be a minute's applause help in the 98th minute.

Stolen from David Nash's FB page .......

Manchester United fans are to pay tribute to retiring manager Sir Alex Ferguson this weekend with a minutes applause on 98 minutes.

edit...just seen it added earlier....ah well.

I think Rooney and Moyes settled out of court and he looks to be the favourite to take over. Mourinho obviously loves London but the prospect of signing players he wants and not the owner must be appealing

Howard Webb at 1000/1 to take over as the next Man U manager on Coral

My money would be on Moyes (and I wouldn't win much!).

With Fergie still having a job at the club, I can't see him wanting Jose over Moyes - and I think he'll play a big part in that decision.

Rafa to Everton? ;)

I think either way it is all done. They will have plans in place before an announcement this big. I'm a fan of moyes, great stability and gets food results out of a modest budget. 11 years at Everton and despite him not winning a trophy he always makes it a tough game.

I think jose may ruffle some feathers if he comes in and he isn't what I would think the United style of manager. But who knows jose may turn a leaf and not be as crazy with the eye gauging antics.

I think it will be exciting. Fergie can still help bring players to the club in his director role.
