We dominated up until they scored on the break. The defence had very little to do for the 1st 20 minutes so they were caught a little cold and 3 Sunderland players ended up unmarked the the 6 yard box. But other than that they never were in any danger and Green had very little to do.

All in all, a very pleasing performance and good to see Bosingwa and Park carry on their good work from last week. Remy looks like he'll score more often than not and Zamora did his job well. Gawd knows where the ref got 5 minutes injury time from but as least the 3rd goal meant it wasn't too agonising. Townsend and Jenus's goals were beauts, such a shame Townsend is only on loan, definitely a star on the rise.

Love players like Townsend, could see him out on loan next season again if Spurs decide he's not really in their plans.

There is certainly a different atmosphere around at present. Looks like the bottom of the league is going to be a lot more interesting that the top this year!

To be fair, it usually is.

Just to add, the one area where we improved greatly this week is that we were able to keep the ball. So many times this season I've watched them give up possession time and time again, today the passes were so much more accurate and no-one seemed hell bent on beating as many opposition players as possible. Hate to say it, but a lot of that is down to the fact that Taarabt wasn't on the pitch. As much as he can conjure up something magical every now and again, he can also be a liability at times.

Hard to say re Tarrabt, I think if he played with Zamora and Remy, he'd have more space and would likely be able to thread some balls through to Remy who makes plenty of great runs - Tarrabt has played a lot with only one striker up front. Some he certainly tries too much and is infuriating, especially in some of the areas he gives the ball away, but other games he's the only player actually trying a defence splitting pass instead of side to side nothing balls.

Indeed, but I can't help but think a lot of Remy's runs would be wasted too often as Taarabt goes for glory from 30 yards.

That's a very good article that perfectly explains Arsenal's situation and also touches on how the various figures of cash in bank 'available for transfers' is actually not as reliable as people seem to believe.

Not sure who I want to win in the Liverpool v Spurs game. I think Liverpool edge it but with the form of teams around 5th I think they could mount a late charge for that place which could threaten us further. A draw or a Liverpool win and I'll be happy I think.

Phew Newcastle 2 Stoke 1.......3 points ahead of the macums :D

Chelsea actually stringing a few passes together now

And no sooner have I said that they score

Worst Chelsea team I've seen at OT in years but I've a bad feeling about this now.

RVP on please

Ladyboy on so he'll no doubt get the winner lol

Off out for a meal so I'll miss the end.

Why do we have to spoil wives when it's mothers day ?

Maybe everyone will shut the **** up about us not beating a top four side now. ;)

BALE-CHEAT.gif

Pathetic. Lucas only ever touched his shoulder but Bale can't resist making more of it when he sees he's lost the ball. I really dislike him!

Great weekend. Beating the spurs, Everton lose, Liverpool sitting above them and united throw away a 2 goal lead at home.

Sweet

Suarez booked three times for simulation in his Liverpool career, Bale six times this season. ;)

my thoughts on Suarez?

Best player in the premier league this season. A pure genius!

I have to say, I do think Suarez should be PoTY. AT Christmas my choice would have been RVP but he has gone off the boil a little iof late. Bale has been good but only over they last couple of months. Suarez has been to pool what RVP was to us last season.

And while I think he has been a dirty so and so at time, how come Bale doenst get slated anywhere near as much yet he cant manage a game without falling over a shoelace!

Here, here.

Well, Wrexham managed to turn a 1-0 lead into a stunning 2-1 loss, with Dartford scoring the decider during time added on. :shake:

Yet another tense end to the season - they don't like easy promotion, that's for sure!

Why? Because he is from these shores is one reason, and seen as the 'next big thing' for another. He's seen as a nice pleasant chap, apart from the lack of balance when in close proximity to other (opposition ;)) players. Suarez also has the Evra incident against him.

Any neutral observer, looking at just the football since the start of the season would have no doubt who the footballer of the year is, but it will probably be Bale. :shake: Hope I'm wrong.

I see Ferguson was up to his usual tricks of trying to discourage his players from playing for their national teams again, with Rooney at the weekend. He ruined Giggs' international career. It may or may not have been to the benefit of his Utd career, but playing for your country should be seen as an honour, and not something you easily turn your back on imho.

Giggs is Welsh.....enough said!

Where have you read that?

Where have you read that?

It was in either the Sunday Mirror, People or Sunday Star. That's the papers my Mum buys, and I looked through while I was visiting.

You need your sense of humour aerial fixed

Maybe you need to tell better 'jokes'.

I'm sure that is how Ferguson sold turning his back on his country to Giggs, 'It's only Wales'.
