Have to agree, City have so far, not been the team they were last year. It's very hard to retain a title.

How many points did city have this time last year ?

And one more thing for those that keep harping on that utd are not the team they used to be.....(while we are on the points gained bit) Utd have amassed more points this year at this stage than ever before.......go figure!

You've had more refs on your side than ever before

Oh yeah, I forgot that they introduced 'fourth' officials in '95, good point!

I thought 'Stretford Mike' Riley retired though?

I think it's impossible to conclude anything from that stat.

So why bring up your statement about points...it is entirely non important to how any team is progressing. (or not) There are too many factors to suggest a team is better or worse because of points gained/lost.

It is akin to saying the refs decision in the 75th minute to award a corner instead of a goal kick caused the result.

There is a science paper on it somewhere.....it is crazy but when you break it down it is all plausible.

It was a question rather than a statement. I think comparing consecutive seasons has some worth. Comparing against teams of yesteryear has to many variables.

It's frustrating willing Liverpool to win. They create openings but then their decision making up front is terrible. It must do your heads in.

"He can hit them from here" alright

get in there Stevie G!!

I'll settle for that :d

That contained errors from players and officials. It is amazing how a 'great' goal can be defined.

The first was poor defending, but still a decent goal. The second, well, he was trying it on and everyone knows it. It was a brilliant strike. The third was just a great goal. The ball dipped viciously before bouncing. As for that last, okay Pepe should have stayed put but how often is Aguero going to score from there? 100/1?

its already man uniteds title

No way it's over regardless of today's result. There's 40 points or so left to play for.

I'll bet you a tenner I'm right and you're wrong

I can't be wrong as I'm not stating who will win it. ;) Just that it isn't over as things stand.

9 points is nothing really when there's 13 games to play and City still have to come to OT.

Liverpool are 9 points off a Champions League placing - is that over ?

Joe's daft to say it's over after last season.

Joe's daft to say it's over after last season.

He has his agenda though - all United's to loose etc.

Anyway

With 13 games left.......

Our last 13 games have generated 35 points from a possible 39

If we can continue that tally then it would be enough but that would add up to 97 points which is a tad on the high side.

Well, three of you saying that I'm daft for saying the race for the prem title is over.

I'll come back and quote you all at the end and revel once again in being right. I'll bring knives, forks and some humble pie and all you'll need to add is your words :naughty:
