tom, sometimes I think you know nothing at all about football. Aquilani's stats when he played (despite not being fully fit) were excellent. your line about mastery made me giggle though. ;)

Oh, feel free to put Sean on the list - he'd be on mine!

Tom knows a lot about football, he once played tiddlywinks with Mr Scholes and he asked him a lot of questions

PS..I forgot to add that the Uruguayan scored 2 at Anfield.......So he must be a good 'un.

And he's got inside knowledge. Is Dagger going to City this window, Tommy?

Bruno Cheyrou scored the winner at Chelsea too. Does that make him a good 'un? :P

We will see. He has potential and he'll be affordable. Everyone is moaning that we didn't by Ba, but his wage demands and add-ons with agent fees would be silly.

£12m seems to be the figure reported everywhere. Seems a little steep, but then we know how Liverpool love to splash out on English 'talent'

it is steep. Its what you pay in January it seem though, everything is 25%+ higher

I thought January was for the 'Sales'...........

Personally, I think it is a poor buy. City and Chelsea couldn't get him to play well on a regular basis, how can Liverpool be any different?

I agree. I'm not happy about it

I watched this lad at City when he was a kid and he could do anything. You are right he lost his way at City and Chelsea but I have a sneaky suspicion that he will come good in a big way and that Rogers is the man to get him playing again. He has imense talent and I really hope that he comes good again.

Both would cost around the same when u add fees etc, and whil Ba may cost say an extra 20k a week he is a proven goal scorer. Ok, has little sell on value but Ba would have been the better bet.

BA can go for 7 but gets 33% of the transfer fee himself and wants 150k a week and a 5 year deal.

Have another look at the figures. You are wrong.

Really? I know with fees the transfer is 12m or so but is he really likely to get 150k per week. What's he on at moment? Doubt it's more than 70k

All reports I've read are that he'll get in the realm of 90k a week.

I would expect he'll get at least 50k a week more than sturridge. Over 4 years that's over 8 mill more.

Well I'm glad we got Sturridge rather that Ba. I think Ba can be trouble waiting to happen. If he goes to Chel$ki, how long do you think he will stay quiet on the bench? Not that long imho.

That he's getting such a big cut of the fee as a 'loyalty bonus' is a joke, and very sad that anyone would sign anyone with such a deal. :bonk:

Sturridge was very good at Bolton, and has done well in spurts at Chel$ki, but if Torres was always going to be chosen ahead of you, no matter how bad he was p[laying, then that must be very demoralising. His own fault for staying in that situation for so long though.

Hopefully he can fulfil his potential. As far as the price goes, he is an England international don't forget, and it is January.

Lovely lob over the keeper from Sterling just gone in. :D

And number 2 from Suarez before I finish writing this.

I'm annoyed, I joined sky bet today for a free ten pound bet and went to put it on qpr winning at 11-1 then whilst betting it changed to 9-1 so I changed my mind and put it on a draw, ah well it was a free bet after all.

When I saw the chelsea lineup I really couldn't see them winning

Shame Newcastle couldn't give Everton a stuffing, but without Ba in the team I never expected them to win.

Very pleased that QPR got one over on Chelsea!

Just watching the Liverpool highlights. Suarez looked unplayable and Gerard's crossing was spot on.

All those that call Suarez a diver I suggest you watch his first goal.

Staying on his feet on this occasion does nothing to disprove all the dives he's taken previously.

By all accounts it sounds like he had another sensational game though. Hopefully he'll continue to show the good without the bad...but not that good :D

Edit: Squillaci has confirmed he's in talks with several French clubs and may leave in January or June. Here's hoping!

Well done Qpr:)

Typical. We finally break our away win hoodoo and it's at Chelsea and SWP scores the winner!

SWP is going to prove everyone wrong now - I hope so as I can't take my brother moaning about him all match, each match!

Unbeaten against Chelsea all season, unbeaten in 2013, 100% record in 2013. Enjoy it whilst it lasts!
