It's official, Mark Clattenberg has graduated from 'The Howard Webb School of Refereeing'.
 
Great to see United finally getting the rub of the green at Stamford Bridge for once. Makes all the tiresome 12 man and ref fixing bleating all the sweeter.

Third goal was offside but Ivanovic can't tackle and Torres is a cheat dont know what al the fuss is about lol
 
What's the betting the Arsenal v Man U game has howard Webb as the ref?!

Also, what's the betting there's limited criticism of the game on MOTD2 tonight? They've only just got Fergie back giving interviews after all!

Third goal was offside. I don't think anybody can argue otherwise. All I would say is that the linesman's view of Hernandez was blocked by the keeper and at least one defender so he wasn't able to actually flag up for anything.

The Ivanovich sending off is the one that annoys me. In my eyes he didn't do much wrong but by the letter of law he had to go.

Fernando Ladyboy - I think that was tough on him but he should have had a straight red in the first half anyway.

That's about it really.

Well I was cutting Ivanovich some slack and questioning the laws of the game but I guess your right - if he's clumsy enough to get in a tangle then he did do something wrong and only has himself to blame.
 
Another top class footie game at Stamford Bridge (not the quality of footie but the excitement)

Lots of mistakes from all involved but lots of quality too.

I am as honest in my approach at viewing sport as the the most 'sitting on the fence' pundit.

Didn't see the EverPool match but listened to it.....same as above then really?

You do know that Chelsea did in fact start the game with 11 men on the pitch dont you :thinking:

If I were fergerson, I would be very disappointed with only a 2-3 win against 9 men !!!
 
I'm sure he would have been had Chelsea only fielded 9 men from the start. As it is, 3 points in the bag at a bit of a bogie ground.
 
Chelsea have lodged a complaint to the match delegate for language used by the officials towards Chelsea players on 2 separate occasions during the game. I can't find what they're alleged to have said yet.
 
Sir Alex Ferguson has made it clear to Howard Webb that he will have to fight for his first team place.

Bit rich considering what you see players saying to refs week in week out.

I thought Chelsea had started with only 9 men as Mata and Torres barely hid a kick in the first 25 mins.Mata was outstanding after that though.I think if Hernandez goal had bn chalked off they would have pushed more and got a legit winner anyhow
 
I've just seen the Hong Kong Phooey kick from Torres again. That was comical.
